I'm really * off about our striker situation. Can I just clarify, this is not BR fault, there's no way he could have imagined we'd be without LG and Dembele.

We could put Sinclair up there, although he tends to need 3 chances before he puts one away. I love Scott, but he isn't clinical and at this level, if we miss chances, we could be punished.

However, BR is pragmatic, he'll have an ace up his sleeve. Just means, we'll have to rely more on midfielders getting in behind and we'll have to make sure we take our chances.

Time to step up - Jonny Hayes. Cut inside, and nestle one in the top corner and he'll win all the doubters around.

Brendan saying he doesnt need 3 strikers as it could be detrimental to the 2 existing today so that puts my theory we need 3 strikers to bed then.

I really hope we do not sell him this summer, as Griffiths isn't going to cut it in the group stages of the CL.

Absolute nonsense. For one he hasn't yet been given a chance to prove himself in the CL group stages.

Also, his performance against England show's he can lead the line against high quality opposition..

The man with a 1 in 8 scoring record in the SPFL, time to step up indeed. Should not be starting any games for us in Europe from here on in imo, an ok squad/backup player but we need better. We need better than Forrest as well for the Groups should we make it.

    Correct
Fair play on the FKs, but from open play Griffiths would get bullied in the Group Stage imo, we need someone like Dembele up there at that level. Hence why when both fit Dembele will always be given the nod ahead of him at that level.

No point in getting hopes up mate, he didn't train yesterday and they won't risk him so he won't be playing. Let's just hope he's back for the Play Offs.

Just can't see us getting a big enough score to take into the away leg without a recognised striker against a well organised defence.

Hopefully an early goal that will settle us

Coming away to Parkhead, they will camp outside the box and hit us on the break. Don't expect any space whatsoever

Absolute pish!! Griffiths won't come up against many more physical players than Cahill or smalling in the CL, both of which he ran ragged for 90 odd minutes. Can't believe some of our support still pedal this myth about griffiths.

Just stop, it's no myth. Griffiths doesn't have what it takes to be the lone front man in the CL Group Stage for us, that's my opinion.

If Dembele left I'd want a replacement to come in and take his place and would not be happy seeing Griffiths become our No.1 striker in that arena.

Griffiths not only has potential to score against any team (imo) but he's improved a * of a lot in his time here, and gets a lot of assists that go unnoticed by some fans. If he's gets his chance in the CL this year in a slightly easier group I reckon he'll do well.

He was also a huge part of the reason we qualified last year...

Regardless of your opinion on Cahill or smalling, they r 2 players who have played in or won champ league and 2 europa league finals, won EPL and played at World Cup and euros. Griffiths showed up really well against that Calibre of player, what else can he do? Every challenge he has had to date he has proved he can handle it!! I agree we would need to replace moussa with same quality but it's also my opinion griff could do the job if given the chance
