The praise he's getting from the English fans in work today, it's no longer 'he only scores goals in a pish league' it's genuine excitement not heard since the days of King Henrik
My smug reply is "500k it's all it took to sign him"

Scored more CL goals than Ronaldo, Suarez, Neymar, Higuain, Griezmann, Sanchez.

He'll be playing for Les Bleus soon enough.

I just hope he's serious about staying here for a few years yet :84:

Take away his goals for just a minute. His link up play is outstanding, i recall posts earlier in this thread that he had the first touch of a donkey :56:

only one decision he got wrong last night was when he passed to Forrest instead of Sinclair but picking on that would be very cynical. I'm more bemused as to why, in any situation you would use him over Sinclair!

The boys got a bright future, just hope he is getting good advice from all around him, most importantly & sadly from his agent. * must be seeing pound signs every time he sees him!

    Totally agree @jordan_

Also, his strength and pace. When he fought off those defender on the touchline only to be given a foul against him, and when he chased down a loose ball too, a bit like how he won that penalty in the league the other week.

    Great talent!

When we first got him I wasn't so sure he was going to become anything different from what we had but he's been a revelation. Can you imagine how his former club feel having sold him to us so cheaply :84:

I thought it was just a 500 development fee where as the big English clubs where all having and willing to pay 10million development fee, but cross borders stuff sorted us out for cheap.

Aye, I think you are right. Apparently Spurs tried to get him but refused Fulhams insistance that he be loaned back to them for the next season. So glad to have him, he is so cool as well with his ability.

He was throwing their defenders about last night like they were children. Some of the fouls he got given against him were ridiculous, the guy is an absolute beast for 20 years old.

I think we will struggle to hold onto him in the summers, but he seems to have his head screwed on and might stay another year to develop.

I don't think he's far off a full international call up.

Home game vs Gladbach and the Sevco game you noticed he was quiet with the centre back being very aggressive and right on his back (literally in a lot of cases), last night there was a lot more fight from him and being smarter in terms of timing his run and jump then also being a lot more aggressive on the defenders. He's adapting very quickly.

Unfortunately I think he's still a bit away from a full call up, might be wrong though

He's showing more to his game each time. I was impressed with the way he handled the punts up the park from Gordon, he got to them first a lot of the time and headed them down to a Celtic player.

I agree with others that I thought the ref was very harsh giving fouls against him when he was just showing aggressive but fair play.

He's one of the coolest penalty takers I've seen. The pressure on that last night against a keeper of Sommer's class must've been intense and he stroked it away with pure confidence.

Does anyone know if there is a buy out clause in his contract? I'm convinced he'll be hear for two years before moving on. We don't have to sell him for two years anyway as he's on a 4 year contract. Definitely not letting that run down though so two years it is.

New 4 year deal for him next summer, get another 2 years from him. Sell him at 23/24 when he's fully developed.

If not, we shouldn't really consider anything less than £20m. He's worth much more than that to us with the goals he'll get us in CL qualifiers each year.
