Hoping to see a big game from Celtic ,they were on fire before Thursday so they need to get that out there head and get back into the the swing of it ,Motherwell always make it hard for Celtic but if Celtic play at pace they will push on they will win ,hopefully a 2 or 3 nil victory.

    Kayal

    Forrest Juarez Ledley McCourt

    Samaras

That would be my team not bothered if Maloney is in ahead of McCourt or Forrest. Ledley back into midfield is a boost and Loovens was decent against Caley and looked solid in the Utrecht first leg, I feel more comfortable with Loovens at the back than i do with Hooiveld and thats saying something, Hooiveld was terrible on wednesday along with a large majority of the team but tbh hes hasnt had a good game in a Celtic jersey yet, even last Sunday he was letting the ball bounce when he shouldnt have and making silly mistakes he was lucky St Mirren were very poor, he didnt fill me with much confidence in the Caley game dispite the clean sheet, He does need time and I hope he does well but So far hes been very poor

Hooiveld hasn't looked much better, frankly. Loovens falls asleep and Hooiveld just looks clumsy (seriously, count how often this guy falls over). How can you pick one from that? I'm changing my mind on who should play every five minutes.

As for the goalkeeper situation, I don't see why we'd start playing Cervi at this stage right after getting another goalkeeper in on loan but I'd agree with the idea of not playing Zaluska. He's leaking an unreal amount of goals right now.

    My team would be:

    Forster
    ...Cha Du-Ri...Loovens...Majstorovic...Ledley
    Brown....Kayal
    ...Juarez.....Maloney.....McCourt
    Samaras
    ...........
    Zaluska
    Misun
    Hooiveld
    Izaguirre
    Ki
    Forrest
    Murphy

Or something like that. Izaguirre hasn't trained so he probably won't start and Forrest could do with being taken out to relieve a bit of pressure on him.

imo, forrest has to start. he seems to be the only one that really guves 100%, plus hes been playing very well recently and deserves a wee run in the team.

he has two options stick with the team he played minus Fotune and try and let them redeam themselves and put faith in them or to wring out the changes and let those that played Thursday know it wasn't good enough and they can fck off if that is the level of performance they deliver.

if it is the later then he would need to go with something ike this IMO

    Forster
    :cha: :loovens: Maj, Emilio Izzy,

    :juarez: :kayal: :ledley:

    :maloney: :ki:

Did Brown not come off with a niggling injury or the weekend? I was thinking maybe he was going to be rested for today due to that?

Anyways i would defo drop Sammy for today and McCourt in as well(or Maloney instead of McCourt).

we need to win. otherwise we will be under alot of pressure. hopefully thursdays result will be a catalist to win the trebble. if we play the way we did against st mirren motherwell wont be able to cope with us but the question is which celtic will turn up.

    Go home ya huns
He should go with the same team & demand a reaction from every one of them, then have two buses waiting outside Fir Park afterwards - one going home & one to the * airport for any who don't play like their life depended on it

If we don't get a win on the board tomorrow then I think it shows a clear lack of character from the team. Forget gelling, formations, the manager or any other crap that you want to throw in there. When it comes down to it these players should be playing for their own pride. No doubt the allure of European football was a major factor in most of them signing, and therefore the failure in the EL and CL should have hammered their personal ambitions. If they have any character whatsoever they should come out guns blazing tomorrow. Anything other than a convincing win shows that when it comes down to it they aren't cut out to represent a club with our size and ambitions. Even if they loose then win a few games it still shows that when the pressure is on they are not fighters. What happens when we get there next season and they run and hide again? What middle rate European side will be next to inflict another painful night abroad? We have had enough of that at this club over the past few seasons and its time to change it. If its clear that players aren't willing to stand up and fight for their own pride then they should go in January . More importantly if we should loose tomorrow, a good run of wins thereafter does not make up for it.

Come January sell the lot and invest in a proven manager. Perhaps changes should be made at a boardroom level too. Things will need to be changed drastically before we have a long line of failed managers an even longer period of allowing successive squads to gel.

Please note that all this is based on the premiss of a loss or draw against Motherwell tomorrow.

So do you think all of this is going to happen if we dont win against Motherwell TODAY?

Since when is 'team gelling' a load a pish?

Do you think x amount of players can be brought into a team and then just play as a team from there-on after? Nonsense.
