Brilliant to see Jota score but don't let it distract you from a Daizen Maeda masterclass

Goal at the end for Jota was great to see and gave the place a big lift.

But we really need to better at putting these teams away. I think you have to go all the way back to Hearts in Nov for the last time we went into the final quarter of an away game with anything better than a 1 goal lead. We have made a bit of a habit of keeping teams in games we should be out of sight in.

I think we have seen enough games now to say that the way we set up, in midfield especially, makes us defensively vulnerable. Doesnt look like Rodgers is for changing that though. Hes built a side designed to be good in possession but without a great deal of emphasis on the defensive side of things outside of possession. So you never feel comfortable with just a 1 goal lead.

I’m not surprised in the slightest. Beaton was on var. Same as idahs goal, didn’t think he was offside. The “image” showed us * all either surprise surprise.

Really happy that we came home from Fir Park will full points. When they pulled a goal back I thought this one had draw written all over it. Really needed this because Ross County were always going to crumble against the Huns. Hope we can get a nice easy win against Dundee on Wednesday.

Reflecting back on today's game and the good points were Maeda's brilliant performance, another goal from Idah, solid performances from Taylor and Ralston and, of course, Jota's goal. The bad points were, once again, our failure to convert our chances and the performances of Hatate and McGregor. We still need a big strong athletic box to box type midfielder in there as we are clearly lacking in that department

I always thought brilliant was better than excellent. My Mrs always said I was brilliant after a wee bit of nooky back in the day but looks like I wasn't all that good if I never achieved an excellent response from her. Oh well
