Ki is all about getting it down on the deck and passing the ball ( as is most of our team) and on that pitch today there was no chance of that happening. We simply failed to adapt to the conditions which is a cause for concern. I feel we can bounce with a win on wednesday night on a surface where we can play football.

Interesting people picking up on Kayal being a big loss.

I mean he was, but say it was Brown missing.. it would've been "Brown is a big loss"... Same for Stokes, Hooper, Samaras (perhaps), Ledley, Izzy... Basically all the guys that have been playing well.

The fact is the entire team didn't turn up. If Kayal played he probably would've fell into the same trap, not a safe bet to assume he wouldn't have - why is he the exception and would've guarantee'd a good performance?

Bad performance from top to bottom, not sure if personel changes would've helped at all really. Biggest blow was the blunder at the start that put us on the back foot from the off.

Only saving grace is for Rangers to go top they need to get 9 from 9 points. Can't see them doing that, shame we have to depend on others right now.

Maybe a bit of an easy argument but Kayal missing in that midfield especially away from home is huge.

Ledley prancing around with Ki might be ok at home but when there is a match to be fought/won these guys are not what you need.

I said before the game Ki would screw us and he did. But not just him, what im annoyed at is the lack of fight or resiliance. I have never seen this in a lenny team before

The pitch was the same for both teams. I'm not going to have a go at individuals as we didn't play well as a team today. These games can happen now and then where nothing comes off. But we will find out about the character of the team in how they react to this.

Awful today wouldnt blame one player though the whole team was pish. Even the subs and to be fair any team was going to struggle on that pitch.
all i can say is ROLL ON WEDNESDAY !!!!!!!!!!!

    Congratulations Motherwell.

Nothing worked for us today, it would be unfair to single out any player.

Whit? He was our best player before Christmas, then he's thrown onto a pitch which doesn't suit his style and has 1 poor game and suddenly he's *? What's wrong with people today man, poor defeat but it was a 1 off.

Yes the pitch is the same for both teams but it suited motherwells route 1 football compared to our passing game.

    Just a blip.
Wrong tactics on a dodgy pitch(easy to say after the game), mixed with an unusual lack of desire.
This may be a nice wake up call though ahead of the old firm game, which will see us dump those Hun * out of the cup.

It really annoys me the amount of times we do stuff like this the next game after an old firm match. That's the hard work wasted once again. Fair play to Motherwell, the pitch was atrocious but it was the same for both teams. We constantly tried to play long balls when it clearly wasn't working today.

Not nice to see 1 player made the scapegoat. What makes anyone so sure Kayal would've been better?

Who would've bet on Hooper, Stokes, Brown, Izzaguire being pish today? Don't be so sure Kayal would've been any different. He's gone missing in games too you know.

I think with most of the posts on here that we mostly think this is just another minor blip as usually it's in meltdown when we drop points.good to see lads let's not lose the buzz around the place

Absolutely, this league is far from over and we need to back these Bhoys. Really disappointed with our overall performance but sometimes a kick in the erse can do you the world of good.
