We were never at the races today and I think we underestimated Motherwell on a graveyard of a pitch that they are used to playing on.
I cant fault Lenny at all, he tried everything to change it including all three
    substitutes but nothing worked today.

    Critical points for me where

    1. Mulgrew's gift of an early goal to them.
    2. Very soft penalty
    3. Ki and Ledley don't work together.
    4. No service to the strikers.
    5. Motherwell played very well
    6. We need a post mortem on all of this

Thats the usual response about forwards and strikers and many times its correct but not this time, however go and watch the game again, from the start of the game the ball was going upfield yet everytime Motherwell players were getting the ball, why because Hooper and Stokes were either too far upfield or just nowhere to challenge, Motherwell were given freebees for the ball by them not just at the start of the game but most of the game!

Agree with all your points but 3. in particular was glaringly obvious to me today. Both good players but just not a good partnership.

    Grand old team
Ki is NOT a patch on Kayal.
Ledley - Does NOT do enough.
Commons has done MORE than these 2 players in the 4 weeks since he came.
This has given rangers a huge moral boost - only celtic could balls this up. A lot of players prob thought they only needed to turn up today to win. I hope Lennon went through them all in the dressing room. * shambles of a performance they have ruined last week in my opinion. * still raging that they didnt even appear to get into the game. and forget this pish motherwell lay down to rangers. we KNOW how they always play against us. kicking and rushing yet we stood back and let them do it to us. a Reality check is what`s needed or we may as well hand that * mob 3 in a row and they wont even have to ask for a league extension. !!!

Have said all week we were setting ourselves up for a fall, were getting carried away after all the hype last week and had to tone it down a notch or 2 .. and here we are ..

Too many people off form today and believing their own hype.

Hooper, Commons and Mulgrew all had a nightmare and Broon returned to type, * passing, poor control and stupid tackles.

Today showed how much Kayal makes us tick and how we don't have the depth in the squad that we thought we had.

Lessons need to be learned and a few arses need to be booted, I just hope it's a wake up call for the players and a lot of the fans.

Ki was awful, Hooper had an off day, Mulgrew had a shocker. The awful pitch didn't help, but it is not an excuse. This game showed how important Kayal is, I so hope he is fit for Wednesday. I am glad that we have dropped these points earlier rather than later though, and hopefully this result will be a kick up the backside and show how we can't just turn up and expect to win.

I'm not too upset by it tbh, we were kicked off a farmers field of a park by a team that showed a wee bit more bite than we did for whatever reason.

The result doesn't take anything away from where we are going with this squad, we will bounce back.

We were beat, take it on the chin and move on using it as a catalyst for better results from here on in - in the exact same way the 3-1 defeat at Parkhead against the filth kicked started us earlier in the season.

EDIT: How Lasley and Forbes stayed on the park I will never know, numerous fouls from both time after time after time.

Some one should have went through that wee mono-brow *, Kayal would never have let the wee hun * strut around booting folk the way he did.

The fact he survived a booking for so long was unbelievable. :38:

A bad day at the office imo, And a kick up the * that weve been needing. But i think this proved to us how big a part Kayal plays in the team. Ki and Ledley are good players, But they are not a good partership :38:.

PS: Why the * were the Well fans singing Just cant get enough :47::47:.

The penalty given to Motherwell I believe was given by the referee from a decision and indication from the assistant referee, for me there is no doubt this WAS another honest mistake! :87:

We were a disgrace today but we move on, no point in dwelling on it for too long as we are still in a very good position.

We didn't play well and you simply can't blame the pitch for losing. But that pitch is awful to play football on, so to say it affected the way we played wouldn't be unfair.

Mulgrew made a very amatuer mistake, was a real struggle from there.

I have to say i thought it was a penalty. It was soft, but Izzy ran up the back of him and the legs got tangled.Accidental i am sure, but it was a penalty for me.
We are now strictly speaking, worse off than we were before last weeks result.Same goal difference, same points difference, but 2 more games out the way and for them, they do not have to come to CP in the league!I still think we will shade it, but it truly is a reality check.I dont want to see(although i am sure i will) any more posts comparing us to Barca and talk of how well we will do in the CL next year.Focus on the now.....the future will come around anyway.....lets concentrate on the League, and enjoy seeing them get their hopes up, only to see them fall down flat again.I would love nothing more than winning it on goal difference like they did to us.....as a farewell to Wattie!

Simply didn't show up today. Very bad start but looked we could get back into it, had too many wasted chances in the first half. Second half, again * start. Never a * penalty in a million years, never.
We deserved * all today and got what we deserved. The pitch can't be an excuse really but imo it is just unplayable and is not safe. We couldn't get our rhythm because of teh constant fouling and poor pitch, but we should be doing so much better end of. Huns back in the driving seat, kind of. We can not have these * poor displays again this season, it is not acceptable and I hoipe that the players know this.

I really never thought that the impact of not having Kayal in the team would be that damaging. No defensive cover from midfield without him in there.
We need to put this game down to jsut a bad day and get back into our winning ways. No need for knee-* reactions and slating players.

No they didn't. The only contact was a hand on the back and then that ugly hun fell over himself.

Sounds like Lenny got tore into them and isn't looking for excuses. Time to move on and look to Wednesday.
