SPFL Motherwell 1-2 Celtic

As I've said before we now need to beat the opposition, the ref and VAR. But we just keep doing it.

 

Gettin the ol popcorn out for sportscene the night, let's discuss incompetency.

 

Huge win. Poor performance but that's exactly the kind of game where you drop points. Massive that we held on.

Let's not forget the disgraceful VAR though. That challenge from Moult and the Jota goal, which if they genuinely called based on that ridiculous angle is a scandal.

 

Possibly our worst game this season, very scrappy. Still, 3 points in the bag.

 

I’d be here all night if i went on about the cheating we just witnessed in that second half, * fuming. Anyway huge 3 points.

 

Just shows we needed that second goal because we were always conceding.

 

Was a very tough watch. CCV was immense, and Maeda did well when he came on. Definitely felt as though we were going to need two to win that game.

Midfield was so slow. I actually thought Mooy was OK when he was on despite his obvious lack of speed, and O Riley wasn't terrible, but there was a distinct lack of sharpness and some of the passing was atrocious. Can afford performances like that now and then, but was expecting more tonight. Strong team and decent pitch, aside from horrendous refereeing again, no excuses.

 

Look like a team crying out for a break.
Didn't think so couple of weeks ago but World Cup may just be coming at right time for us. It's been a heavy schedule. Time to regroup.

 

We're scrapping together wins but with potential upwards. Still I think the WC break comes to the right time for us. Hopefully can come back speeded up, ready to bury our chances.

Our VAR goal looked on and theirs looked off but there you go. Put ourselves in trouble all night with slack passing, playing ourselves into dead-ends and refusing to just clear the ball when needed but 3 points is 3 points all the same. How that assault by the Well player Morris wasn't a red only a Scottish referee would know.

 

Our chopped off goal was tight but the fact they never showed the correct angle is just too * dodgy.

Their goal was onside, Jura at fault for that one. It was never a free kick though, that’s my issue.

 

Aye I thought he was on tbh but just showing it from that angle was a * disgrace.

 

Quite flat and bit boring until that last 10 to be honest..

Some poor final passing and finishing made that a bit harder than it needed to be..

Job done. One more to go before we can rest up..

 

I thought Motherwell played a good game.

Their goal was clearly onside. No problem at all with that being given.

 

I know it's early but that win could be the league winner. Not great but grind our the win .wunderVAR lol up ye Hun cnuts.HH

 

We should just walk off. Mite have to sacrifice 3pts but if it highlights to the world what's going on in this pish league we are in then it's worth it imo.

Only in Scotland would the introduction of video technology allow for more cheating.

We should be demanding officials from a different country operating VAR because the hun * doing it can be trusted to be professional when they have the safety of a TV studio miles away from fans
