Strongly disagree he's probablly the best striker we have as playin as a front 2 player he can link up really well look at these games Falkirk away and Hibs at home whenever him and Keano played together they we fantastic. Btw skip alot of the Hibs game to see him.

Didn't see nearly enough from him in his first half-season at Celtic, but there were certainly plenty of bigger culprits last year. I think he should be given a season to see how he does, but he'll have to do better.

Too many folk on here are writing him off after a handful of appearences.

Give the big man a decent run of games and the goals will come.

    Give the guy a chance.

Needs his chance with a good partner, coz I think he can link up well and he is a goalscoarer. Throws himslef at the ball compared to the other elads upfront I didn't see anyone of them show bravery last year or stretch that extra bit. Ras needs a good run of games, but he does need to work on his fitness also. Looks a bit top heavy. Doesn;t need much pace imo if he is a box striker any, jsut awareness whic from what I've seen he has.
Give him a good run out sometime. Still got a couple of weeks till the start of the season to find out our best strikers.

How can you say he deserves a chance over Samaras? Samaras was given a chance in pre season to show why he should stay and he played a blinder. At the moment, Samaras is our on form striker and therefore, he will be in. I can only ever see Rasmussen being thrown on for the last 10 when we need a flukey goal.

I think he'll do well in the SPL once he's settled. Don't think he could play the lone striker role but could do well with the right striking partner.

I think he has done alright when he's been giving a chance, he knows where the goal is and he's not afraid to get hurt trying to score which is something we havnt had since Hartson or sutton

he deserves his chance over samaras by far. off the top of my head, two major goals from rasmussen: hamilton away 1-0 and hibs at home 3-2, scored both of the winners. thats 5 points. he rarely started at all last season, but still managed to score some very important goals.

samaras has had plenty of chances to secure a starting spot, rasmussen has barely had one, due to the arrival of keane.

Rasmussen should be the main striker. Samaras is a super-sub player.

why? i understand the lad needs a chance, but he's not even in Portugal, why would our manager leave our no 1 striker in glasgow?

He is the most competent striker we have. If Lennon really did leave him out of the squad, then I'm going to start doubting his sanity.

how do you know he is the most competent striker we have? is this a guess? he was sidelined for most of the time he was here last season because of keane
he still needs to prove himself in my opinion

In most of the games he's played, he scored. Not pretty goals, but who gives a *.
