The lad needs a decent run of games before a proper judgement can be given. No doubt he has the goal scoring prowess of a 25+ season striker. We'll see in pre-season, but with the right partner, fitness training (looks a bit heavy, and a tad slow) he could be a leading scorer in the SPL.

ithink keane is the only reason he isnt playing just now as i suspect he will have it in his contract that he has to play when fit.

i think big ras will be angry about keane coming to be honest as it may have damaged him getting to the world cup

I don't know, he seems to warm the bench a lot - although MartyC's post might go a long way to explaining that. Maybe when Keane goes we will see a lot more of him next season.

Haven't really used him much this season, I like him hanging around the box, making a nuisance of himself.
Might see a bit more of him when keane goes.
A bet he's itching to get on the goal trail by now & I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do for us!!

A Samaras and Rasmussen partnership for next season would please me.

Certainly worth-while part of a 4 man strike-force. Fortune, Samaras, Ras and ???

New signing? Or will Macgowan or Sheriden make the step up?

New Signing hopefully. While i don't think Keane will come for the fees and wages mentioned, i would defo have him. I have a feeling he won't be at spurs anymore given their cl entry

More likely to be McGowan than Sheridan.

i think he would be a good poacher if giving service and right partner.but samaras and fortune are not the answer i would sell them both and sign a couple of new strikers

Reminds me a bit of Craig Beattie. Doesn't look fit whenever he has played. I think another year playing second fiddle will be his season next year

I like what I've seen in that he seems to know where the goals are but hasn't played enough to really judge.

I'm hoping that given a proper run in the team he'll bang them in consistently.

I think Rasmussen is exactly what we need for the SPL. It is not the EPL or La Liga in the way that every ground in the league is like a carpet and fancy footwork and skills are encouraged, unfortunately in our league we play on half grass half mud/sand pitches and retaliation to skinning a player is a crunching tackle from the next. I hate to say it but we need to play a bit more like the huns to get the scraped results we didn't get this season. I'm sick to the back teeth of watching Rangers get their jammy goals by playing the most * awful football imaginable (their run to the uefa cup final is a prime example). That is not to say I wish Celtic to abandon playing the 'Celtic way' entirely as I like a wee gloat to fellow SPL supporters about how we play like Scotland's Barca on occasion lol

He seems to have good predatory instincts and certainly seems to know where the goals are. I think he looks a bit bulky though, perhaps losing a bit of weight would make him an even more effective player?

Do u think , i think he looks reasonably slight. Also, maybe people think he looks slow but i think he has a big stride.

I thought when he came on against Hibs he looked like he was carrying a bit of extra weight yea. It was the first time I'd noticed it to be fair, maybe his strip was just 2 sizes too big that day :56:
