Jimmy Delaney, Paddy Crerand, Lou Macari, Brian McClair,Liam Millar, are definate players who left Celtic to join Manchester United, that's why for years, the Celtic and Man United fans had a great affinity with each other, even right up to Keano left, then for whatever reason, we suddely became their enemies. In recent years they haven't been overly kind to our fans, anytime we visited Old Trafford, and we reciprocated the same welcome to them when they visited Parkhead. Enhanced dislike for them now, look at the chances Ferguson threw at them to get them more money in Europe. Sorry Ed if I wandered a wee bit there :50:

I think it bollox. Evra wont leave United so Fergie wont come looking for izzy. That's not 2 say if he keep's playin the way he has been other EPL club's wont come looking!

And even if they did make a move for Izzy, would he go?

I think he has more character & footballing ambition than to go and collect a paycheque to sit on a bench in Salford month after month. :50:

apparently jim delacunt sed man u are going to offer £6million for him...hope we don't accept it but i'm pretty sure we will.

it's an unbelievable profit on a player who has only been here for less than a year but i think if we got to the group stages of europe next year and izzy kept up his level of performance then he'd be worth about £10-12million

No absolutely not..........we start selling our best and where will it end :87: You can bet your bottom dollar Lawell et al, wouldn't fork out a few of those millions for a like minded player :54: Let the other half of the City be a selling club :86:

fair enough, maybe all this recent success has gone to my head and I just expect everything to turn out well! Having young assets that other clubs want to sign is always excellent news though, Man United interest doesn't upset me in the slightest:50:

    We don't have to sell.

We're not Rangers, we don't have mass amounts of debt and a bank running us. So unless the offer is ludicrous, they can gtf.

Yeah I understand that but at the same time it scares me cos I don't trust Lawell not to sell for a profit :56:

We dont have to sell him then the player will have to put in an official transfer request and then we play hardball and ramp the price up it happens with the other EPL clubs why should we buckle and sell a prised asset at a knockdown rate? for me Izzy with european experience becomes a double figure million pound player as it was now between 7-9 million would buy him!

i would hold onto for atleast another season , we have struggled to bring in a quality left back for years now we got one i dont want to let go at the first bid . Then be back to square one .

If he willing to stay keep him and if he continues to play the way he has and also do in europe we will be talking double figures .

IMO we should knock back £6m and try and hold on until next summer. no harm in small prices for big profits.
