Southampton paid a large amount for Forester as well and we have a option to buy him, he cost them 12 million.

I’m not saying he isn’t a good player, but he will get more game time than MJ and for me will set him back.

I would see the point in this signing if we had an option to buy since Lennon said himself he does not like to develop other teams players with a loan deal.

 

Is this a loan to possibly buy as Edouard will have offers next summer. He won't be cheap as Southampton paid £16m for him.

Good player, wish we'd bought him a few years ago. Think this means a few going out on loan, Shved and Morgan probably unless we give Arzani back to City, which seems unlikely. And * knows what is going to happen with Sinclair. Left to rot in the stands for a season, loaned to someone like Sunderland?

Great player but again no notion of forward planning with this club. Will never afford him at the end of this season. Enjoy him while it lasts I suppose.

 

Sinclair is out of the picture, can see him leaving before the transfer window closes. Elyonoussi will be first choice I would imagine and Johnstonfor lef

Forster signed for them 5 years ago, he is now 3rd choice for them. Being a goalkeeper too, you don’t really need 3 big names around. They could probably do with losing his wages.

Elyounoussi is under contract for another 4 years. They paid big money for him, and seeing the success we have had with previous players they have had from us, they probably think we can help develop him. Would love to be able to sign him permanent but just can’t see it. What would his wages be for a starter ?!

As good a player as I think Mikey Johnston can become, when it comes to the big games, I just don’t think that he’s ready. He will still get plenty game time this season, even if he’s behind Elyounoussi

He's got an excellent pedigree. I think his downturn in fortunes is only due to moving to a struggling Southampton team. With us dominating most games & on the front foot he should flourish again. Although I hope this signing isn't at the expense of the reinforcements we really need.
