weren't we waiting for Sandiomierski to come over for talks...i'll wait until Celtic announce it.

if he does come, i hope he bags the goals we need as Samaras doesn't do it.

i can't understand why we don't bring in two strikers and punt Samaras, especially when McFadden is on a free.

I see him alot on television here in sweden.. hes the best player in the swedish league by far in my opinion, not just that he knows where the net is, its that he works very hard all the time, hes strong, good at headers, and a great passer of the ball.. the AIK fans love him and ive always think that he seems to be a nice guy so the players would like him and our fans would like him i guess

Sounds as if he could be decent but whats the craic in regards to him getting a work permit? Surely he'll struggle being from Sierra Leone who must be way down the rankings.

Im from sweden, and I follow swedish football. I have seen couple of AIK games, and I must say that Bangura has been their best player. He's a striker who has a big impact of the game. I would say that Stokes and Hooper are more of a typical striker options, who scores, but sometimes disappears from the game (Stokes probably more than Hooper). Bangura is a technical, tricky striker who scores goals, but also is a great options to midfielders with his impressive movement and sense of playing.

I know that a lot of AIK fans see Bangura as their best player. I can't say if he will be a major sucess here, but I do think we need one more creative option, and I think Bangura is the best we can get at this stage, for this kind of money.

We should make this guy our priority now, along with another centre back.

I know the link has been posted but here's what SkySports.com says :

Skysports.com understands Celtic are poised to sign AIK Stockholm striker Mohamed Bangura.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon is keen to bolster his attacking options before the close of the transfer window and he has lined up a deal for Bangura.

It is believed former Celtic star Henrik Larsson and ex-AIK manager Stuart Baxter have recommended Bangura to the Hoops following his goalscoring exploits in Sweden.

Bangura has netted seven goals in 19 games this term and his form has attracted the interest of a host of clubs across Europe.

However, Celtic are in pole position to land Bangura with the Scottish giants believed to have agreed a fee of €2.5million (£2.2million) for the forward.

Bangura is expected to travel to Scotland on Monday to hold talks and undergo a medical at Parkhead ahead of securing his move to Glasgow.

    **************

As the lhad said above, a recommendation from Larsson can't be a bad thing. Should he sign i think all we need now is a Centre Half and a genuine Right Winger.

oof, we should be so lucky. if we sign this guy, we'll be lucky to see a left back. we have too many wingers as it is.
