    as long as we sign someone who can be a play with hooper and or stokes and can replace sammy, mind you its not hard. He looks like a good finisher with some strength but a youtube vid can make sammy look good too.

    I was reading a stats website the other day and this guy was very high up the list. £2 million would be a snip for a young striker with a good strike rate.

    Shame we couldn't have gotten in an picked up his teammate Teteh Bangura before Bursaspor bought him for €2.6 million – looks like a much better prospect.

    Hey guys, as an AIK fan I can tell you this guy is probably the best player the swedish league has seen in years, the reason the other Bangura (Teteh) scored so many goals was cause of Mohammed.
    He's an amazing all around player, great dribbler, great passer, great shooter, he can basicly do anything.

    In my eyes Mohammed is a much much better player than Teteh is but clubs usually sign the player that scored the most goals.
    Anyway if you do sign him I have no doubt he will succeed in the scottish league, cause let's face it, it's not really that good ;)

    I hope he will stay at AIK until the end of the season though, but if you do sign him, congrats on getting an amazing attacker

    If they turned down bids of 2m then why would they accept 2m from celtic, looks far more likely they will want 2.5-3m pounds. Unless of-course its 2m + hoiveld then that looks a great deal to me!

    they say that aik and celtic more or less have agreed a deal for him. but the player needs to get a work permit in Scotland, which is hard to get for him because of his country's standard (sierra leone).

    They mention "sources to aftonbladet". have no clue what sources though.

    Cheers for the info. Obviously goals aren't everything, so im more confident in him based on your appraisal.

    Am I right in thinking it was your club we brought Hooveild from? If so, would you take him back? He's no where near getting a game for us, and I know before we got him, he was voted the best player in his league or something.

    Np, yeah like the other guy said "very close to agreement" but not sure how reliable that is, about Hooiveld, I wouldn't mind seeing him back at AIK but atm we have 3 great CB's in our team so I don't see that happening

    Completely agree with this. Follow swedish football abit and was going to tweet lennon about him and teteh a wee while ago but decided not to as he never replyed when i tweeted him about alexander gerndt (who ended up going to utrecht from helingsborgs) *!

    Mohammed would be a top quality signing, hope we get this done! This is the most exciting name weve been linked with this summer in my opinion!

    We all know that youtube can make any player look like a world beater, lets face it, he looks total gash on youtube. C'mon lads, use the head here. I don't know the answer but I would much rather see Rasmussen given a proper chance before we waste even more money on an AIK player. If Hooiveld was the Swedish league's top player then I'm not expecting much from this guy.
