I agree with Khabib, but I trust Jones.

As much as I don't like him, he says he could retire without beating him and be ok and I believe him. But at the same time, he REALLY wants to beat him.

There's no chance DC would be ok without beating Jones. You just have to look at any interview leading up to 200.
Cormier was basically saying if he didn't beat Jones at 200 he would always be remembered as the nearly guy.

You don't get to that level and be okay with beating everyone bar the one guy that you absolutely hate.

200 was a while ago now, things change. I think he's spot on in saying he isn't going to let Jones control him and his legacy.

Yes he wants to fight him and he wants that win back. But he's been here, Jones hasn't, he can't let it define him.

We don't know what Jones we are going to get in the cage, but if Cormier loses it won't tarnish his career in my opinion.

It doesn't tarnish anything but it definitely will define him.

No. Not beating Jones won't ever take away from his achievements or somehow make them any less. But 20 years from now people will remember him very differently depending on wether he wins or loses against Jones again.

If he loses, any times he's brought up in conversation it'll be how he beat everyone but Jon Jones. If he wins? He'll be the only man to ever beat the GOAT.

Either way, they don't take away anything he's already achieved.

Like us winning the European Cup. If we didn't ever win it, it wouldn't make any of our other achievements any less valuable than they are. But winning the big one defines our club as one of the truly great clubs imo.

If he wins it will define him, if he loses it won't. It would define Jones though.

Shy and retiring MMA star Conor McGregor visited Liverpool for the Grand National this weekend, but it seems like he's in no hurry to go home after spending a wild few days in the city, ending up in a house party in Huyton.

McGregor flew into Liverpool in his private jet on Saturday before him and his entourage drove into the city centre in a small convoy of Rolls Royces. Of course he did.

He also turned a few heads at Aintree racecourse when he turned up dressed like this:

Awesome UFC debut, I don't think Williams should have been allowed to continue after the 1st though

Nelson's an embarrassment now, fair enough he can punch like * and thats his style just t go for a KO but he should atleast lose a couple of stone so he isnt blowing out his * after 30 seconds.
