    I've told you what's cheeky.

It's cheeky, I'm not saying it's a travesty. I like what is happening, just feel for the lightweight challengers, Edgar and Aldo.

Such an angry wee man :smiley-laughing002:

Beats being a clueless angry wee man.

You feel for 2 guys that have held titles and had their shots, I don't. Let them fight each other, McGregor is pulling in numbers neither of them could combined.

    It's an opinion... Doesn't mean I'm clueless.

I like McGregor too, but you definitely want to clean his baws with your tongue.

Lesnar was 2 and 1 in the UFC before getting a Title shot your latest clueless statement.

His MMA record was 2-1 so maybe MacEwan23 just got confused. easy mistake to make as most fans think he only ever fought in UFC

    Here you.

I was trying to bam up PaulM and * it right :56:

Who cares what Lesnars UFC record was when he got a title shot. Doesn't make anyone a better UFC fan than the other. Petty playground "I'm better than you" *.

I'm not quite sure what your point was? The UFC promote prize fights. It's their job to sell PPV's and sell seats in arenas.

Nowhere does it say that they have to adhere to some sort of sporting athletic code where fights are booked depending on merit.

Edgar won't get his fight if the UFC brass deem fan interest to be higher in seeing McGregor face the 155lbs champion. More importantly, McGregor won't be arguing with whatever the UFC decide on, because whatever they decide will undoubtedly be the option that generates most money.

Frankie Edgar is in the unfortunate position of being a great fighter, but a vanilla character for the most part.

That's why he's on television whilst McGregor is on PPV.

That's where you are wrong as I am an elite UFC fan :50:

Nah, in all seriousness his record is immaterial the point remains. It isn't cheeky for McGregor to get a Lightweight Title fight.

If it will sell more PPV's and put more bums on seats then that's what they'll do. Coincidentally it's the one major pro that UFC has over boxing with its fragmented structure, riddled with selfish people unwilling to compromise to give the fans what they want.

I was a big fan of Jones before all his crazy * happened. Would've loved to see a rematch with him and Gustafsson :icon_mrgreen:

Like I said the logic is warped in places but it's interesting to see a genuine model applied to MMA and Jones coming out on top.

Would follow the majority of fans thinking.

Yeah I get what you're saying. The fact that he was off partying a lot of the time and then turning up to defend his belt against the likes of Cormier is just outrageous. I hope he moves up to Heavyweight soon. They won't be able to cope with him there either.

I don't see anyone capable of beating him in the UFC.

Cormier has no chance in the rematch. Velasquez would be a far tougher fight, his Werdum defeat was an anomaly - I reckon he'll maul him in the rematch.

    Potentially 2 x 2 weight super fights in 2016.
