I have to admit im really gutted about this! i liked Kenny when he joined and ive allways found his workrate and attitude to be first class. Good luck for the future Kenny.

i wish kenny all the best, i felt maybe he could do a job for us this season but good buisness!
according to reports kilmarnock gave permission for us to talk to naismith on mon but never got back intouch. i reckon gs strachan has been waiting to offload a striker and tg before proceeding with talks. i have a feeling he will sign tonight. if he does i just dont know what to make of it with him prefferering a move to the huns! but we do need some one to replace miller! we should be lookin to spend big on a quality signing but its all came a bit late!

THat leave us with a off-form striker (JVOH), a newbe who missed a few sitters and looked limited at times (Skippy), a heap of * (Magic), a semi-crock (Killen) and Deeks. Not impressive. I would give Deeks the shirt as he is the only one who just might be good enough for the top level if he gets the chance but that is a very poor squad of strikers. He has flogged the only on form striker we have. He had better get someone * hot in by midnight:38:

Every one of those players you named has a far better goal per game ratio then Miller. And as for looking limited and missing a few sitters well that could be about Miller also. I can understand the fact that you are unhappy but every player has his price. There was no guarantee that we would have got that figure for him again,it's a calculated gamble imo.The gamble being that the board believe the 5 we have now will do enough at least till January

.Miller scored 8 goals last year which is not good enough for Celtic.Last year was our lowest goal scoring season since 95.
I have no problem with Miller going, 3 million for a sub is good business lack of a quality striker coming in however could come back to haunt us.
I'd much rather be recieving £3mil for Miller than spending it on him

Surely Peter Lawell & co aint been amature enough not to have
a signing or 2 lined up for the last minute....they just got to have something.:50:

Firstly best of luck to Miller, it was nice to see a genuine player giving his all for the team.Secondly yes it is good business from a purely financial point of view but that's not what supporting Celtic is about! Can someone calculate the interest we will get on 3 million between now and January (It's not looking like we have time to spend it) and let me know would you rather have miller or the interest?? WGS history of buying Strikers is not great once you've calculated the interest make some reccomendations for who we should spend the 3m on!!

    I'm with you mate.

I always liked Kenny and I think we have made a big mistake in letting him go. He would have had a great season I'm sure. Options now?
    Magic, Killen, Sheridan?
I'd give Deeks the nod if Big Jan or Skippy get injured or suspended. If we don't start playing Deeks regularly he'll be away in January and that will be another mistake.

Kenny always gave his all and was the only player we had with genuine pace. Hope he does the biz in the premiership and for scotland. I'm disgusted we haven't brought anyone in yet they lot have spent a fortune. If we lose the league this year i'll put it down to this transfer window closing while the board was counting our money.

I agree we were over manned up front. If Wilson or Naylor are injured we have no obvious replacement. It means playing people out of position which is not ideal. I'm just angry we didn't get a player in who quality and class are beyond doubt but why am i surprised it's the same feeling after every trnsfer window shuts.
