He missed games twice because he didnt get back from International duty quick enough which is fair enough since he was travelling round South America for games.

A lot of people seem to forget that. Other times he just wasnt picked because his previous displays were poor.

For me, Lassad fulfils the role Miku was aiming for, so I am intensely relaxed about whatever happens to him. But it's a shame we couldn't have made more of the opportunity.

Miku was certainly no poorer than Commons or Hooper this last wee while, and I would have started him for every one of those disastrous home league matches. Just to see.

Ki has been debated to death on here, so I'll leave that one.

Juninho got a run in the team and was poor, so I'll give you that one.

Gravesen was harshly treated for me, have always said it. he scored 6 goals in 18 starts, twice in old firm games and got a hat-trick at love street, that aint too shabby by any standards. He wasn't given time and a proper run in the team to prove himself. He still never bad-mouths Celtic and had to be calmed down celebrating a hun-humping in an executive box at Parkhead a few years ago. :56:

The point I'm making is Miku didn't get a run in the team, foreign players need a chance to settle.

I get the feeling there is more to it.

He did start one of them and was the worst player on the pitch. Fans were literally 5-10 more seconds of him fannying about and wasting our own time by walking off as slow as * when being subbed that he was almost chased off the pitch lol

I shouted abuse at him, think it was "get this * to *" and I rarely ever shout abuse infact that might have been my first time abusing one of our own players at a game.

Very true. Do you think that was what damaged his chances of regular selection?

I think so too. I suspect homesickness on Miku's part has a large part to do with it. I also suspect that Miku thought he would walk into the first team and has been frustrated that he never got the recognition he may have expected.

    Just hasn't worked out.

EDIT: This is the picture of the club website chose to illustrate yesterday's draw when you enter the front page, most bizarre:

For me its that he just floats about the park without a care in the world and doesnt do enough. The only game he put in a good shift was the Barca game and fair enough he did play really well in it but the rest he never got involved, hes like the anti-Watt. Watt runs about mental at pace getting tore in, then theres Miku who floats about in a daze letting games pass him bye.

What I might think got Lennon to dislike him could be the International duty thing, im pretty sure Lennon only plays players who train the day before a game, so players returning for Internationals HAVE to train on a friday before a Saturday game. But I dont think Miku did on either of his returns from Internationals and maybe phoned Lennon to say he was late back or tried to make an excuse or something and then thought it would be fine not knowing how strict Lennon is, Lennon might have been unhappy thinking Miku thinks he doesnt need to turn up and will still get a game even though all the other players even if tired from flying back still turn up to the training so they can play. Think that was one of Juarez main problems too and he was binned sharply.

    I'm not picky.
So he managed to hit the post once and he had a shot saved? All that against Arbroath? Wow

I suppose there were no "idiots" at the match that think he's not for us either. Or is it just the "idiots" that don't turn up?

Hopefully this is true to be honest. I never like to see a player fail at Celtic but maybe Lennon and the coaching staff just don't see him having a role at the club. Maybe he's not settled well either to the Scottish game. Who know's but if it's not working out then it's best to go this route and just cut our losses.

Just spent the last half an hour doing statistics for players' appearances and goals this season.

Miku has had ten appearances, of which four were as a sub. He bagged one goal, so he scores in ten per cent of the matches he plays in with us.

Watt has had 16 appearances so far this season, of which seven were as a sub. He got six goals, so he scores in 37.5 per cent of his matches.

Lassad's had six appearances so far, including three as a sub. He's already scored two goals in that time, meaning he scores in 33.3 per cent of his games - not far behind Watt.

Miku's the odd one out here.

Where is this fallacy coming from that he 'had a decent game against barcalona'? Everyone is saying that and it's just not true.

Anyone who was at the game will say that he was constantly out of position, gave the ball away regularly and maybe held the ball up a wee bit but did barely anything else.

I thought he was shocking against Benfica and was only slightly better against Barca. He's pish.

When a player comes on loan it is an opportunity for them to show us they are worth us pursuing. For all Miku's tidy play, he doesnt look any better than what we have. He will be on a higher wage than Watt for sure, possibly Lassad and maybe even Stokes. We have better options than him and if he goes in Jan it may free up a wage to bring another option.

Good luck and all that, but wont be missed. The fact he hasnt stayed at any club more than a season is telling.

Bollocks, his first touch was excellent, he kept the ball well, should have got Alex Song sent off. Drew fouls, was skillful and worked his * off.

It might be if it were true. Even remotely.

Miku is class. He's not been given a proper chance and it doesn't look like he will be, but the fact remains that Miku is a quality player who could easily have succeeded here under the right circumstances.

Apologies, your right, he was at Getafe for nearly a whole 2 seasons. Other than that he has been loaned out 6 times and played for 9 clubs in just over 8 seasons.

What circumstances might he have succeeded under?

The only thing that annoys me about this is not once has he played next to Hooper, not once.

Well, we'll never know, but one goal in ten matches suggests he isn't fitting in.

Statistically speaking he's our worst striker so far this season.

I wish it were otherwise but the facts are that he hasn't been successful here yet. There's still a few matches to go before January and I hope he manages to get a few goals and prove us all wrong.
