Knew this would happen, and not happy about it. Don't understand the logic of having enough faith in him to play against Barca (a stage on which he looked a real player), yet giving him hardly any games over the course of his time here generally.

It's strange but yet another case of someone being too good for our league. He was outstanding against Barca and took his 1 goal well, but like Ki he just can't deal with the * standard here. It must upset him deeply when he plays piggy in the middle in training and he's the only one who can control it properly :56::54:

Hope he stays but if he goes then I wish him all the best.

Needs a concerted run of games. There's not a player in the planet that could settle into a rhythm and show their true ability with the stop-start run of games that he has had.

He's been treated appallingly, especially when you consider some of the performances Hooper and Commons have put in and remained in the first XI.

Tbh, I'm thinking it's Miku who's cutting his losses. Our treatment of a guy who is a quality player has been a bit of a joke.

Excellent against the best team in the world, and hardly got a chance apart from that.

Mind you, I guess it is always possible that he's cottoned onto the climate and the standard of domestic opposition and said, "Look sorry, I can't do this"... which is fair enough, good luck to him.

Doubt it, hes not that good lol

Hes got ability but its hardly great. His level s mid table Spanish or Italian teams were he'll get space and time to play. He probably wouldnt get a game for any top Portuguese, French or Russian teams or most top Dutch, Belgian or us.

He's no pace or strength so his ability on the ball will only get him so far and hes not got amazing ability on the ball its good but more Crosas/Donati than Naka/Lubo/Di Canio.

For me hes like a poorer version of Stokes, Stokes has similar ability but is less lazy, less slow and more hardworking and gets in the box more.

I believe the "* standard" of football in scotland is a myth. He'd be standing out against the teams we've stuggled with but he hasn't. He's looked lost.
If he's too good for the SPL then he should have been banging in goals against Arbroath from a much lower league.
    He's pish.

Don't understand it to be honest, the guy clearly has talent and worked really hard against Barca, we've already got a striker out injured.

I guess with the emergence of Tony Watt and subsequent contract that Miku is seen as not being an option for purchase at the end of the season, so why pay - what i'm guessing are large wages - up until then.

He probably is a decent player but i've not seen it anyway - no loss to me.

So did Ki, Juninho and Gravesen... they had even more talent but yet never cut it. Others with similar levels of talent to Miku like Donati, Crosas, Jarosik and Fox also never cut it.

    He just lacks something.

Maybe he did say that. But as it seems fairly clear that Miku is very talented - both from the Barca game and his previous career in Spain - and it's fairly clear that Lenny's not an eejit, I feel it's unlikely.

I dont the guy hardly ever turns up on the pitch. If I was his manager id be the same. I even wanted him sent back after that game a few weeks ago, cant mind who was a home game. I was * fuming with him for his * empty shirt display and how he milked the applause when going off when time was running out, if I was in Lennons position then id have been tempted to burst onto the park volley him in the baws and drag him off. He was seconds away from * exploding with rage and booing him off the park in that game.

Ki and Gravesen are in a totally different category from Juninho and Miku.

The first two were used widely over an extended period of time.

The latter two were bought, then barely given a chance before being got rid of - to the extent (in both cases) that I'm left wondering whether the manager wanted them there in the first place...

The most disappointing thing for me was his work rate. The guy has some talent, no doubt, but I just won't feel any great loss when he goes. The 'he's too good for the SPL' argument is pish. As people have already pointed out, if that was the case he'd be tearing this league up, and certainly turning the style on against Arbroath, ffs. Management's been at fault as well. He should have been given a chance after his performance against Barcelona and after getting his goal, especially with Hooper's form, but if he was as good as some people are making out he'd have walked into the team by now. I don't think he was part of Lenny's plans anyway. Good luck to him. :50:

Footy doesn't work like that. Or else there would never be any cup upsets. We would never have beaten Barca. Infact, there wouldn't even be any leagues because the best teams should just automatically get given the title at the start right?

Ki was not a star player at Celtic, who play in a poor league, yet has gone to the hardest league in the world and settled immediately into one of the top midfields in that league.
It's a conundrum I know, but true all the same.

I know you just put Fox in there for a joke right? Fox and talent should rarely be in the same sentence.

But anyway, I know what you mean about him missing something but I think he has what ever it is... we will see it. We should let him play our two games after Spartak, 90 mins, see what he does. It's tough for Lennon because we are not in the best form so he might not risk it and stick with Hooper & Sammy or Lassad.

    It is strange.

I was surprised but ultimately pleased that he started against Barca, and he played his part in that victory - but then he's had so few matches since.

Maybe both club and player realised it wasn't going to work early on.

I don't think he realised just how cold Scotland was :56:
He's got a baby as well so he/she won't be loving the less-than-mediterranean climate.
Also I think there's only 1 other Spanish speaking player at the club, so even though he speaks perfect English it must have been hard for him to settle and join in with the group who are mostly British, Irish and European.

I wouldn't say he's been treated appallingly - inconsistently perhaps - but I completely agree with everything else you wrote, and certainly that he should have started many times in preference to Commons' and Hooper's dire performances in the last wee while.
