Tommy Burns would be proud to see his plans take shape and flourish as it is. This was Tommy’s vision way back and took in clubs across Europe to implement a top training facility to nurture and keep the conveyor belt busy. Hail hail Tommy Burns.

    100% mate..

He'd be proud at many of them..

I still think we should be seeing more come in, more often but we do have some real quality coming through..

Who doesn't love seeing homegrown kid's making it and bursting a gut whenever they're on :50:

It's sad that it is only because of a string of injuries and a heavy schedule of games that Mikey has been given this opportunity. It seems we are not even scouting our own youth/fringe players properly. The injuries to Brown, Ntcham, Rogic and Lustig have proved to be a blessing in disguise when we now have Christie and hopefully Mikey given time develop into players we would happily have spent +£5million on.

His movement was different class. Constantly playing on the shoulder and looking to get in behind. So skilful and a good finisher to match. Caused them problems all game.

Has real potential as a striker imo. He will tear the huns apart next week if given the chance.

Felt a wee bit emotional after he scored his second, could see how much it meant to him.

Think we could have something special on our hands.

he's only 19 but shown he has an eye for goal. in a team that's got goalscorers all over it , not an easy thing to do for a young player.

Looked like he was soaking it up as he got subbed and a nice smile at the gaffer.

See that one towards the end of the 1st half.. ball dropped from about 70ft in the air & he leaped like a big beautiful gazelle & brought it down? What a touch. What a pler.

In the box and then got it under control and moved out towards the corner flag?
    His touch/touches are something else..

Low centre of gravity and ability to go both ways and be so unpredictable, along with his pace and swagger. He's going all the way..

Let's just see how he goes though :fear:

To be fair with Johnstone he’s played 11 games for us so far, was heavily involved in the friendlies and qualifiers start of the season and has been in and around the squad. He has just seized his chance due to injuries but he has been given chances.
