Think the pressure of playing for Celtic can’t be underestimated. Doing well at a less intense club/city. Think if he came back here he’d still be *. Pukki Celtic/Norwich prime example

Different demands/pressures... more open league. No surprises he is doing well there.

Unfortunately though he's had more than enough chances to do it here and he's failed to do so. So hopefully this run of form continues through to end of the season and we generate a decent fee for him

Absolutely buzzing he's doing well down there because it should mean that we get a really good fee for him in the summer. As many have said before, he's had his chance here and it hasn't worked out for him. Playing against more open defences will clearly give him more opportunities to flourish and that's what is happening right now.

If he continues on this sort of form? We should be asking for a very good fee for him. £4m with a large sell on would be what I would be hoping for. Not sure if WBA could afford that but there will be other clubs who can in the Championship.

He’s had chance after chance here and never ever been able
To sustain a run of form.

    Sell to the highest bidder.

We obviously have enough goal scorers in our team.

Besides football isn't all about scoring. Mostly it's about possession and passing the ball sideways. Johnston will never fit into our system. Guys a dinosaur with his scoring goals thing.

I'd happily see him come back in the summer and give him til the end of the transfer window to show he can do the business at Paradise infront of our fans. If he can't, sell him at.the end of the window.

    There's always one (roll eyes)

Remember when he came on against the Huns and nearly cost us the game!

Think Nawrocki gets a lot more of the blame for that game being nervy at the end.

MJs only 24 and he seems to be on an upward trajectory. Is it really better to sell him at the start of the window than see if he can have a good preseason and play well for us at the start of the season. If he doesn't, it should still be easy enough to punt him at the end of the window.

But, yeah sure, having more money in the bank is more important than having good players in the squad :31:

I think he'd be a good option to have around the place, problem is there's too many that don't support him and get on his case when he's struggling with form. The abuse he gets makes it near impossible to build confidence.

Reckon he'll want a permanent move which is fair enough, but I'd be happy enough keeping him as an option.

I agree with this. However, I would think MJ himself would probably want the permanent switch so he can play regular, first team football.

He's had multiple chances here. So, I think it's best for both parties if he moves on and we get a good enough fee for him to invest back into the squad. With the way he's performing down there right now, we should be asking for a much larger fee than I initially hoped we would get. No reason why, if he keeps putting in performances like he is and producing good numbers that we can't be asking for £4m/£5m.

When you look at our options on the wing, I think we need a complete change.

    Abada- Away for £10m
MJ- On loan but should sell him permanently in the summer for a good fee.
Kuhn- Not been a great start for him at all. Looks extremely poor.
Yang- I think I'd be happy to keep him as a back up right winger.
Palma- Has good numbers for flatters to deceive. He's like the Turnbull of the wing.
Maeda- I think we should look to sell him in the summer.
Forrest- Clearly working his ticket at the minute until he retires next year.
Vata- Probably away in the summer for free.

Would like us to bring in a first choice LW and a first choice RW. Keep Yang and Palma as immediate back ups.

Abada is away, sell MJ and Maeda and see what Kuhn can do this season as a fifth choice winger, playing with Forrest. If he puts a run together, he puts a run together.

The whole team shat it at the end of that game, not just Mikey.

Having said that, I was still absolutely fuming at him. :56:

He's 25 in a few weeks. You're not young at 24/25 years old. Good players have long established themselves by that age.

He's played nearly 100 games over 7 years for us. He's had lots of chances under different managers and has failed to make any impact under any of them.

He's scored a few quality goals at WBA and fans have forgotten about the last 7 years.

I'm glad he's doing well at WBA. I hope they offer us money and he gets a fresh start.

I agree with almost all of that although people do mature at different ages.
It's really only the athleticism of youth that is lowering the average age.
But I'd argue the standard of football isn't as high as it was.

Hope he continues to do well down there. He obviously couldn't do it under Rodgers, but neither can Kyogo or several others.

Not one * player has improved under him, but many have regressed

I would close the border between scotland and England to keep him down there.

It's more of a worry when players leave us and can stay injury free.
His talent was never in doubt

Probably more protected with the refs down there is a starting point. Wearing the green and white hoops in Scotland is having a free reign to kick * out of ye
