Aye he was quiet tonight. It wasn’t an awful performance, but it wasn’t a good one. Did expect more from him after the weekend.

Just so distinctively average and done nothing to really move the needle.

Think got in a good couple of crosses and could have help Oh bag a Hattrick if not for Oh pretty much finding a way to land squarely on top of the ball from a decent cross in.

But in saying that, was that Al or Mikey or put that ball in?

Just that wee bit of magic he's needing to kick start a bit of momentum. Starting to doubt if he'll manage it unfortunately.

That’s quite fair tbh. Atleast rodgers is being clear and letting mikey know where he stands and what he has to do if he wants to make an impact. Hopefully he takes Rodgers comments on board for the next game

Same old story, he’s got pace and skill but had zero awareness or composure. He did work his * off to be fair.

He must be the most protected player in history there is this weird love in with him going on amongst sections of the support. He is and always has been utter * his end product is non existent. "Unlucky Mikey"

Think it's actually the opposite personally. Much higher proportion of people eager to stick the knife in, than those queuing to kiss his *.

Don't think people are eager to stick the knife in. A lot of us are just absolutely done with the "could this be his time" pish. He's shown next to nothing since breaking through.

There were a few people on the last page saying he played well...which I find baffling. What did he do tonight that was of any use? Rodgers' comments sum it up. He needs to do a * of a lot more.

He just didn’t really do anything tonight. Like, he didn’t have a bad game but he just wasn’t involved.

He’s clearly not the answer but he’s the player I’d be playing right now. Yang is * *.

No option but to give him a few games and see what happens. Of the options we have unfortunately he’s the prime candidate for a start.

Just no end product, too easily bullied off the ball.
Saying that, a lot better than Yang

I didnt think he was great but wasn't bad. He will probably start again on Sunday.

There has been a bit of venom from our fans in reaction to him for a while, he gets it tight.

Failed to make a mark, he did well at the weekend, beating his man constantly getting balls in the box and stuff and did dig us out a hole a bit.

Couldn't have hand picked a better guy to come up against than Lewis Stevenson who is probably the worst defender in the League, can't defend, no pace about 40 year old and never really took him on at all. Should have terrorised him and tried to kick on and keep the place but was like Yang, few tidy bits of play the odd wee run but not doing the level to stay in the team.

I'd still rather go with Yang. He's at least put the ball in the back of the net and created a goal or two.

Plus, he's still a bit of an unknown quantity...despite not making a great impression so far. We know what we're getting with Johnston and it's not good.

Seems Rodgers is just putting it straight out there letting him know he has to step up or he's done, be no new contract on the table as it stands.

With Palma looking class, Maeda and Abada on their way back from injury, Forrest as the experienced backup, and Yang and Tilio the new younger projects, hard to see where he fits in unless there's a sharp upturn in his numbers in a very short space of time.

I'd play Johnston away and Yang at home, Yang has done ok in the home games where we are more relaxed and have a bit more space usually. Takes guys on well and gets quite invovled.

Away though where theres a bit less space and more pressure and atmopshere Yang seems more rattled and erratic and panicky on the ball. Johnston maybe better away from home where he's more free to try stuff and can lose the ball more, where as at home Johnston seems to bottle it to play his natural game like he's scared to get the ball took off him or hit a shot or put a ball in, in case the fans go off their nut.

I appreciate Rodgers blunt honesty recently.
