Forrest established himself fairly quickly. You’re clutching at straws.

 

He's just a * football player all fancy tricks with no end product when he is on the ball he should give it back to the opposition keeper for a goal kick.

Never been a fan of his but though once he settled last week against Hibs he was ok but the burning question is....................where the * has he disappeared to in the last two squads? Surely he can't be injured again?

 

Thinks its more to do with the four wingers who have played recently are getting rotated, Maeda, Palma, Yang and Forrest who have all contributed well recently..

 

I'm not arguing that Johnston won't ever make it (truthfully, I don't know), but just in regards to the comparison with Forrest: Forrest used to do a lot of the stuff Maeda does now: he did a lot of good defensive work and his pace got us up the pitch in Europe*. I don't think MJ provides that.

* Not saying he was as good at it as Maeda, because Maeda is mental.

Hopefully whoever takes over from Kenny will keep playing him, if a Championship team looks at him due to the international stage, I’d do what City done with Frimpong. A small negligible fee, but a high sell on.

We wouldn’t be losing out on much of a fee, and whilst long odds on it happening, if he stays fit for a season and gets a run of games he has got the ability.

Forrest used to frustrate the * life out of me.

Could NEVER look up and find a pass. Just used to run with his head down, into defenders, hit the deck, and sit on his * in the grass looking a ref for a freekick.

People have a selective memory when it comes to James. He was labelled as some sort of wizzkid far too early on, and ppl tend to forget that he was work in progress for far too long. In fact, it wasn't until Rodgers first stint that he finally got his act together and became a more rounded player.

Although his contribution can't be understated. He's been a great servant to the club, and scored some big big goals.

Mikey will NEVER get that sort of time. Half the fanbase have already written him off, with the other half just "hopeful" he can make it.

One things for sure. It's this season, or never.

Tam Rogic must have been about 4?

 

He had a few games in his first two seasons then was loaned out. But he had a groin injury that kept him out for a while when he was on loan. Featured regularly from his 4th season onwards.
