I don’t think the club want him out on loan because of what’s been going on with him and his fitness.

It’s not just run of the mill injuries. They want to keep an eye on him.

We've loaned a couple to the Belgian league so I'd look at somewhere like that before the championship for him as I think somewhere a bit more technical, and less physical, would suit him better until he gets his confidence back.

Agree with you JC. I can see the talent there but the injuries is stifling his career. He is good enough for Celtic but a loan would be a brilliant idea for him. He goes to a smaller club and he will have the responsibility to prove himself and that will work in his favour. I think the pressure to do well every second your on the ball at Celtic has him under the microscope and the fans are becoming restless with him. I think he can turn it around as he has the work ethic.

If he stayed fit I think he would. That's the thing though if he stayed fit and was able to get enough minutes under his belt and get some confidence I believe he'd be more than good enough as backup for jota. Sadly his career will be ruined with injuries in my opinion.

I noticed I think his first game back on the bench this season his legs were caked in scars, some of decent sizes like probably 5 inch long around his knees and calves, that noticable you could see them from 40 yards away. Looked like he'd had numerous operations a lot recently as the scars were like that purple/red colour rather than faded.

    Must have real problems.

I honestly don’t think it is “real problems” as we would not have extended his contract. I would like to think we have learned from Ajax Dirk.

    He’s way beyond a loan.

After hearing Hart talk about him I’ve gained sympathy though. We just have to lower expectations with him in terms of his ceiling.

It's a real shame how things have gone for him. I don't know the details of his injuries but a few people have commented about how we (the fans) aren't always privvy to what goes on etc and have suggested things with Mikey have been quite complicated.

He's a massive talent imo and has shown that when he's been able to get a run of games. Rodgers trusted him to play a central role early in his career and he scored a few good goals there. Scored a couple of beautiful goals on trophy day vs Hearts and was trusted in a Cup Final. Started the next season really well, but obviously the injuries and other factors have battered his confidence.

When he came in this season I thought he injected a real spark. The games against Ferencvaros and Hibs away he looked very lively and I was quite hopeful he could kick on, but his body just seems to keep breaking down. He looked really upset the other night vs Raith when he was force to come off over something pretty innocuous.

He turns 23 in April and has played (according to Wiki) 78 games for Celtic, scoring 11 times. Forrest at 23 had played 126 games and scored 24. For context, Kieran Tierney had played 194 games by 23 and Callum McGregor had played 106 despite not making his debut until he was about 20.

A loan away from Celtic, at this stage, would be ideal. I think somewhere like Hibs would be a good move. Shaun Maloney will want to play a style that suits Mikey, and he knows and rates the player from their time together in the Celtic youth side. Failing that, somewhere abroad where he can just go and play away from the limelight and hopefully stay fit and enjoy his football would be huge for him.

Sadly don't see him making here.

Although if he keeps his injuries under control I reckon he could easily do a great job for other spfl clubs like a level similar to Niall McGinn

Just saw that Ange said he's just sprained his ankle and will be out for a little while. Doesn't sound too serious.

Depends on the severity of the sprain but hopefully nothing to serious in this case.

Back in training. Hopefully stays fit, settles down a bit when he's on the park and can contribute for the run in.
