Fair enough if you see potential, maybe punting him was a bit harsh on my part, I think we could do worse than loan him out for a season and see if he can find and sort of form and a run of games. He probably won’t be on much anyway

Aye I wouldn't be completely adverse to sending him out on loan for a season like we did with Christie to Aberdeen/Hibs.

Send him somewhere where there's a little less pace, a bit more technical play and preferably nicer weather maybe? Playing (or at least training to) every 3 days, in Scottish weather and with our physicality and * pitches clearly doesn't work for him...

He’s had bad luck with injuries for sure but he has had plenty of opportunities in the past. Not making it. End product is non existent. He always used to be good for taking a full back and beating him but even that seems to be a rarity now.

It was a make or break season for him.

    Punt.

Get all the comments, totally valid..

But, if that strike goes in right at the start, we're having a different conversation about him..

He's devoid of confidence, but he has talent..

A loan from the start of next season could work..

It's just no working out for him at Celtic.

    Ifs and buts.

He hasn't cut it in a Celtic jersey and is no spring chicken any more.

He'll only be kept for the home grown rule in Europe and wheeled out against dross in the cups.

I'd rather we cashed in tbh.

To be fair he's only three months older than Turnbull and people talk about the latter like he's a baby wean

It’s not been going great but some of the comments are very harsh.

He’s still got bags of talent. There’s clearly a confidence issue. He came out flying today but as soon as he had a bad move he was completely shaken and couldn’t really get out of it after that.

He’s on a knife edge at the moment and the injury doesn’t help. If he gets in the right headspace and just adjusts his game a little he could 100% realise his potential. If he can’t sort it out he won’t make it here.

Poor boy looked gutted the day when he got injured, looked like he was greeting actually, shame. At one point he was definitely good enough to make an impact with us, injuries and having Lennon as manager when Michael was at his peak totally * him.

We’d be as well just loaning him out in hope that he performs somewhere and we can sell him then.

Doubt anyone would pay a transfer fee for him at this point.

I also think it’s past sending the boy out on loan as well sadly. In my opinion. It just hasn’t worked out for him at all and i really think Lennon has a huge blame for that. Best for him and the club to move on imo.

First time i ever seen him play as well was in that uefa youth league thing against Bayern’s youths, if i remember correctly it was 4-1 Bayern but Mikey stood out massively, surprised Bayern even never took a punt on him after that game as he ran rings round them. Footballs a funny game man, shocked at the level he’s at just now, the potential was there for everyone to see, i can see him ending up a mid table spl kind of player or at best lower leagues in England.

That was the exact moment I thought he was destined to be a star here as well mate, he was unreal that game.

Always held out hope that he would get rid of the injuries eventually, like Forrest did, and put a wee run together.. but he just can’t stay fit for any length of time.

Would try to loan to a Hibs or Aberdeen, if they were interested, would be a good fit I think.

The story of his Celtic career. "If".

Made his debut almost 5 years ago and he's regressed, or at best plateaued.
