How old is MJ? Think Jota is 24???

 

If he stays fit he’s going to prove a lot of people wrong. Our fan base love to write players off , they did it to McGregor, Ralston, Forest, Edouard , Rogic to name a few. Could even add Ange into that if we include managers.

If MJ stays fit he’s going to surprise a lot of people. Im not surprised he’s rusty given his injury problems but he’s got talent in spades and I’m tipping him to turn it around this season.

 

I genuinely think this is his last chance here. If he doesn't do it this season, he'll be shown the door and quiet rightly so.

 

They're both 22. They are literally a few weeks apart in age.

 

I'd flog him, hopefully an English team might take a chance on him, his decision making is horrendous and is way too greedy too.

I guess maybe an attitude thing but always thought Dembele seemed more head thinking in his play and would have got a chance, but not to be.

 

He has a contract til 2025, and to be honest I think he will be here til then unless we tell him to go. He can be hit and miss but if he stays fit this season then I don't see the point in getting shift just yet. He is definitely capable back up, at worst, and Jota can't play 90 minutes every game. A 22 year old with his potential would cost us £3m. Its why players like him, Welsh and Monty are so important. All capable, may not be world beaters, but replacement would cost more. Send that money on £6.5m players like Jota.

Regards to Dembele, he got unlucky as this season I think he would have played.

 

Thing is he won’t be going anywhere due to us needing home grown players in the side for Europe.

He has potential but he is made of glass.

 

Is there a certain quota we need to have?

 

For Europe you can register max 25 players. Of which 8 need to be homegrown, meaning trained for 3 years in the Country between 15-21 years old.
Of those 8, at least 4 need to have trained with the club themselves. Youth players who would qualify for this but don't need to be registered to play will not count to this requirement if they are not specifically registered in list A

Edit: If a club cannot meet the requirement, for example only have 7 homegrown, they can only register 24 players to play
