Sounds like Johnston will be on the bench so tomorrow. Hopefully gets some minutes. Would be a massive boost if we got him back now and he could actually stay fit the rest of the season as the way Ange wants to play I can see Johnston flourishing and becoming a big player for us. The caveat being Johnston has to stay fit something he has not so far really managed to do for any great length of time with the first team.

I know it’s been said over and over but he will be a great option for us if he can maintain full fitness and avoid injuries.

You have to hope he has been using his time off the pitch productively and comes back stronger.

He is very skilful with a good burst of pace. I think he will fit nicely into Ange’s system and help us unlock tight defences from the bench.

He’s versatile as well which gives us more depth across the front 4.

The last place I would play Johnston is on that horrific plastic pitch and a cert he will get injured again on it and keep him for the Raith rovers game coming up .

He could be an absolute player if he stays fit, really hope he can. All the talent, attitude etc, been very unlucky.

If we get him fit he will be outstanding. Imo the most exciting player to come out our academy since the Maloney and McGeady days. Its just getting him on the pitch that's the problem.

Really rate him but it’s a case of now or never. He’s been a prospect for about 3 years now due to injuries

He might be just back but this guy is just a muck footballer..

He’s never shown enough quality for us to warrant waiting on him any longer. Should have been out buying another left winger in the summer.

Don’t know how anyone can watch his cameo today and call him *. He was immediately making things happen. Clearly talented.

Lucky it wasn’t windy today, wouldn’t have been able to stay on his feet.

    This..

The only player that came on and started beating their defender's and getting in more dangerous position's..

Aye he dragged the shot wide and his final ball wasn't 100% but he's just back and thrown in..

He was better than Abada and Jota in his short time on..

I genuinely don't think he passed to a Celtic play once after he came on he just kept falling over and/or giving it away

The way he beats his man is pure natural, if he can stay fit and get a run of games we might just have a quality player, any time he gets a tackle he's potentially out for 6 month though, can he get past that?

Thought he was decent when he came on and would have liked to see him come on earlier then he did. Maybe give him a start and play him an hour on Thursday to get him up to match sharpness. No question in my mind that if he can stay fit he can be a massive player for us this season.

One of the few exciting prospects we’ve produced and would be a first team regular by now if his body didn’t constantly pack it in.

His talent is worthless if he’s gonna keep getting injured.

Totally agree with you and good players to compare him with has a bit of both Maloney and McGeady's styles to him. Lets just hope that now that he is back he stays fit as I really do think he can be absolutely massive for us this season if he can stay fit.
