Id like to think if i was him, and didnt like my manager, but yet i was out injured for long time and just returning.

That id understand that a place in our team isnt a giving, and that i need to play well enough to either

A/ make it impossible for lenny to drop or ignore you.

B/ if a new manager comes in and looks at how the team have played recently, he seen a player that didnt drop their head, and seen a lad willing to step up and be counted and prepared to carry the team if needs be after just returning from injury

Must be all that "hard training" we are hearing about up at Lennoxtown.

Exactly. If my manager treated me as he was by Lennon I would make it my personal goal in work to shaft the * constantly.

Him and everyone else should be giving Celtic 100% regardless of Lennon or anything else.

Nothing I've seen from him he won't be doing that if he gets played. Playing on while injured shows extreme naivety but also passion. Lennon was wrong in the way he handled that but hope Mickey has learned that lesson.

Lennon won’t give him time on the park anyway.

I know folk always say this, and to an extent I agree, but do you always give 100 percent at work if you don't like your boss or he treats you like a *?

I want players that want to give their all for Celtic as well, but football has also changed over the years, and players do have a lot more power. Most of these guys didn't grow up supporting Celtic either so although you could say it's unprofessional, if they don't respect a manager, it's going to show. It's the same for any professional football team.

If it was the odd player fair enough, but when it looks like the majority of the team have regressed, it again suggests the coaching/manager is the problem.

I'm lucky in that I've seldom worked for that type of person. I have worked in situations where the person or people above me aren't very good, which is how I would describe the current situation with Lennon.

In those situations I have generally put more not less in. I realise that's not what everyone does or should be expected to do. I'm lucky enough to do something I (usually) enjoy but would admit having that approach to work is not always healthy or should be expected normally.

I would however expect most footballers to be in the same situation and have a similar commitment as they are getting to play football for a living. I appreciate that football players lives can be quite complicated and that this is a generalisation, just an opinion really.

You're a very professional person and definitely in the minority.

I don't know why anyone would think a bunch of 18-24 year old popular, rich men who know they could easily earn the same money in somewhere like southern France or Italy, or far more money a few miles down the road in England, would handle themselves like a 45 year old chartered engineer with a mortgage and a family.

The reality is these are young men that need a sober, professional and attentive management team to guide them in their sporting careers and give them daily examples and reminders of how to keep their standards high.

We gave them Brendan Rodgers and his management team. Then we gave them Neil Lennon and the Peterborough assistant manager and wondered why standards dropped.

I hope Mikey Johnston doesn't get a game under Lennon and the next manager comes in and does a better job with him. To be honest, if he doesn't publicly go in a huff and tell him to '* off' then that's a vast improvement, so bar pretty low.

Regardless, its is in his own best interest to give 100%, otherwise, he risks a severe downward spiral in his career.

People think Lennon has treated him poorly and people think Johnston doesn't like Lennon.

A manager has to use every way he can to get wot he wants out players , I could see how the mikey Johnston thing would work on young players coming through , I.e you have had a * came took off and manager gives u silent treatment and no acknowledgement , you are gonna break your balls to get to see his good side .

Exactly. You dont through the toys out the pram. My coach at basketball (because I'm to pish at football) :56: he told me I'm a * shooter in front of everyone and to drive the basket.

Aye I never listened, his goal was to get me driving the basket, instead I * off home and shot 2000+ a day and became the best shooter.

He then said "you could always shoot ffs but I needed you to drive the key more :56: should've just said the * :56:
