What's happened with fisher?

 

Adam Matthews is an excellent RB.

He had Lionel Messi in his back pocket playing at LB, you never lose that.

 

No idea, mate .Great youth prospect as well.

 

Thought that maybe his daughter was playing on his mind a bit but I see she is bal better.. Lexie Lustig though, what a name.

As long as he is fully fit for the sevco game I don't care what he misses in between.

 

A fully fit Matthews starts over fisher and so does an ambrose but me personally, i find fisher to be the more consistently solid defensively out the 3.. Not spectacular but gets the job done..

Matthews is out of sorts and was before injury, i prefer him further forward, ambrose fills absolutely no one defensively ..

Been utter pish for quite a while now.

 

Matthews is a class above Fisher in my opinion, defensively and offensively.

Like we don't need one of our best players playing regular and helping us qualify in Europe as well as get through our Scottish cup tie at tynecastle abduction continuing our good league form..

When's he been given a chance? Lustig has been keeping him out the team for quite a while now. He also had an injury at the same time as Lustig a while back. You can't throw him in and expect him to be at his best having not played regular football for such a long time. Some people have short memories. This time last year he got 50% of the votes in our 'best right back' poll.

 

A fully fit Matthews i'm not denying, for some time though he's regressed defensively..

Out of position, a yard short on pace, switching off and worst of all I've clocked him backing out of quite a few 50/50 tackles which he never did before..

 

Absolutely gutted at this news. Hope it isn't a bad one.

 

Don't even bother denying it, the Sevco game is the biggest until we reach a final or the last 32 of the Europa.

Also you may not have noticed within a week of the Sevco game we play the 5th round of the Scottish cup, potentially another Sevco or Aberdeen etc, within 4 weeks the last 32 of Europa.

As our most experienced player we will need him more for the business end of the season.

 

In all honesty, and I've said this plenty of times before, I've never been a big fan of Matthews. Never thought he was any good going forward, he can beat the odd defender but his crossing is rank rotten and he's suspect defensively. His pace bailed him out a lot and he seems to have lost a lot of that.

I know he's not been back for long but he can barely do the basics right, simple passing, defending and crossing. Just don't rate him at all.

 

We have 2 europas before you get carried away plus the next round of the Scottish cup in 2 weeks at tynecastle..

Talk about jumping the gun..

 

Says he pulled his hamstring, so he won't be playing against Salzburg and Hearts.

He could be out for a couple of weeks to a couple of months, we need him back for more important games.

 

What part of they are important games are you not getting

 

Gutted for Lustig..

Mathews is a decent replacement if he can stay injury free, nothing gets past a fully fit Mathews...against Aberdeen he looked no where near fitness which is a worry.,
