36 assists per game for telfer? We should never have let him go.

Ment to say did anybody see him like waiting outside the tunnel at half time yesterday when the players where coming off and was like clapping and encouraging (only way I can describe) them off the pitch almost like a captian. He must be fantastic around the dressing room. What a signing he has been.

Izzy's stats are amazing. Imagine if, like Hinkel, he had a good big target man striker to get on the end of his crosses?

One of few players who got pass marks tonight. Thought he did well at centre half.

He's a great right back and in my mind, the second best player at the club. But does anyone think that if Virgil leaves, Lustig should be played in the centre? He has a lot to offer going forward but I feel far more confident with him in the centre of defence than I do with Ambrose. He just rarely makes a mistake and can pass the ball out from defence.

Hopefully Virgil stays, though, and Lustig can stay at right back.

Does he have an underlying injury problem? Seems to go off early in quite a few games it seems, particularly in europe.

Or am I imagining that, I'm sure it's a point been brought up before though.

Neil Lennon mooted this idea when Lustig signed and he wasn't too impressed. As much as he can certainly put a shift in there and could be a useful short-term solution (now until the end of the window), I can't see it happening long-term as Lustig has said himself he prefers right-back.

If VVD leaves he must be replaced like-for-like. It's clear that Mulgrew isn't going to fix the VVD problem (as he's been pish for a while now), just as he didn't fix the Wanyama problem. I just hope Park has some players up his sleeve to fix both of these defensive problems as we'll get horsed in Europe without an anchorman (and now probably VVD) just as we did last season, Europa League or not.

This guy is one of the few quality players in the squad and one of the few bright spots currently at the club.

Nice to finally be able to say something positive tonight. :smiley-laughing002:

He seems to pick up hip injuries. Tonight was either a hip or groin injury and if it was a hip injury it could be something more serious.

He is that. When he first arrived I couldn't see him unseating Adam Matthews but now it's the other way round.

Aye, one of very few positives right now.

Can also guarantee he will be as frustrated and angry as most of us fans tonight, loves the club.

He's the player I'd be most gutted to see leave the club. Thankfully, I think he'll be here for another couple of years at least.

I would still like to see them both play. Definately wouldnt mind seeing Lustig play Centre Back long term, with Matthews beside him and Fisher deputising Adam.

But if it was a straight shootout for RB... Lustig all day long.

That's why he had surgery on both hips last season in order to sort the problem out. I hope his injury last night isn't too serious, but going by his reaction coming off I fear he could be out for a while and arguably the moment he went off was key in the game as it unsettled us at the back.
