Lustig loves it here but it is time for the big guy to move on as his form has been very poor this season .
It is time to move forward and sort this defence out with some quality as it has been our Achilles heel for too long .

Sick of hearing that he should just be cast off. His experience is vital and he’s also vice captain.

Give him a lesser role in the team with a view to coaching if that’s what he wants to do. He’s a very passionate guy and someone the young guys could learn a lot from.

Aye the guy is a very capable back up. He’s not finished he just can’t do it every week anymore. Don’t make the same mistake we did with Izzy

Should be 3rd choice when we sign a new RB, if he's happy with that then fair enough. If not he should be allowed to leave..

See this is the thing he's a lovely popular guy and we all love him to bits but we need to remove the green tinted specs. I don't know whether he's done or not or whether BR will get him back on form if that's possible......I only know he's not been doing it in current form. I don't think that Brendan is the type to be sentimental though to just keep someone as a squad player. Brendan is trying to create a team that can work within his philosophy and style of play. I have a feeling if you're not cutting it you're moving on.

No way I'm saying Mika is past it yet!! I did that with Broony under Ronnie and look what's happened. If anyone out of the non-performing guys at the back deserve some slack it's this guy .. ...he's being a great servant and fully deserves it!! Unlike a couple of characters beside him who seem bullet-proof from some quarters because they send orange kenny into orbit and the other has a couple of decent games last year.

Each to their own though.....be a boring place if we all thought the same.

I'm willing to give him a chance for the remainder of the season to see if his form picked up but we should be making plans to replace him come the summer.

True. I don't think that the rest are bullet proof as they've been found severely wanting. We desperately need a defense. KT and Ajer are great and young Jack is breaking through but we need more experience to support them in there....preferably a pair of big tanks :56:The trouble with making a comparison with Mika and Broony is that they're performing two different roles. Broony for the most part is the one who makes us tick but if he's having an off day he has people around him to help out. Mika is in the unenviable position of always needing to have guile, sharpness and turn of speed to shut down the opposition and he's already at a disadvantage in that he only seems to kick with one foot. Against lesser opposition he's ok but that's not enough.

yes indeed Jeannie......was really comparing their service to the club more than anything else. For that matter, Craig Gordon is another i would throw in there but i know that won't win any popularity contests.

He offers nothing. Absolutely nothing. He is a second Mark Wilson. Just a shitebag when it comes to going forward.

Can't wait until the summer so we can bring in a RB. Fair play to Lustig but he's winding down now and it's clear to see in his performances. So slow and static.
