Not at all, just the opposite.

Brown, Lustig and Tierney are hugely important figures in Rodgers plans, and to lose 3 in 2 weeks (2 in 60 mins) is a kick in the balls when you consider next months schedule.

Any more injuries and it could be Efe against Barca

    Naw.

He was horrendous on his debut but to say he hasn't improved since then is frankly just daft.

His injuries are a concern but when he is fit he is a huge player for us. The fact Brendan has played him so often is testament to that.

Puts a great cross in as well, very composed when he is on his game.

There are very few posts that make my jaw drop figuratively to the floor, but this is one of them.

Lustig is a full international with 55 caps, for a country that is 18 places higher than Scotland in the ranking table and he'd have more caps if not for injuries. He has been consistently picked by every manager he's played for at club level since the beginning of his career in 2005.

From memory, I can recall him providing the assist for Dembele's 3rd goal v Sevco in the 5-1 win at Parkhead. Upon rewatching his action during Celtic matches this season, I counted at least 10 other forward passes from Lustic, firmly putting that myth to bed.

His link up play with the right winger is fluid and consistent with him providing a lot of crosses for the team. He often gets forward and creates a lot of width for the team, as well as being strong in the air and often making crucial interceptions in defence.

Your entire post has no basis in reality. Ask Santa for a copy of 'Football for Dummies'.

Didn't see the game, but Lustig has been excellent this year at RB, and had a couple shifts at CB for us too. Playing great

Celtic defender Mikael Lustig has confirmed to the Swedish media he’s had to withdraw from the Sweden squad for their upcoming games. The full back picked up an injury at the weekend during Celtic’s clash with Inverness.

Lustig has told Aftonbladet he won’t be involved in Sweden’s World Cup qualifier against France, followed by the friendly with Hungary, due to taking a knock on his foot on Saturday.

The Swede revealed he would be remaining in Glasgow to recover from the injury, receiving treatment from Celtic, but said the scan didn’t show he had a bad injury. However, Lustig will be out of action for at least seven days.

“Sorry, I will not being going, I’ll be staying at home in Glasgow. I did a have a scan which showed nothing serious, but it’s bad enough that I can’t play for seven to ten days,” said the Celtic star.

    Glad to hear that..

Sure I mentioned this last week, but one player I'd really like to see pulling the plug on his international career full stop..

Good to hear he should be back for Killie possibly..

Well, the injury could be a blessing in disguise now that he gets a two week rest.

    Sweden's loss is our gain
