Never thought Lustig had that backflip-ability, count me impressed.

Would like to see us bring in another right back and move Lustig inside to partner Sviatchenko next season. Simunovic, Boyata and Mulgrew can fight for the roles.

I read that he is the only right back named in Sweden squad for the Euros

Again, folk have been far too harsh on him.

If he's fully fit he is a quality right back, including at European level. His main problem is keeping his body right, by not doing * like backflips

    I think so too.

Might be just me but I don't think he's as slow as people say either. His future is at CB in my eyes though and should begin there from the new season.

Some comments have been harsh but he has definitely not been at his best at various points throughout this season.

Neither have a lot of them mind so I am hoping it's the case for him.

Few people have said it but I think it wouldn't be a bad move to move him in centrally over the next few seasons as he gets older and his legs go a bit. Think he has all the attributes of a very good centre half.

We need someone to step up in the right full position first though.

He's pish now, gets done for pace everytime - that boy McKay anihilated him.

I've said it before as well but the more I think about it I'm no so sure.

He lacks pace now that the legs are going a bit and his all round physique isn't that of a CB. He reads a game well though and can tackle a ball well too, so he'd certainly be better cover than Ambrose and Dedryck the Diddy.

Id keep him at RB just now though until we see what Janko can properly do, I'm confident he'll do well next season.

Well, we have Sebastian Larsson who could play right back, but it's best if Lustig stays fit

I don't think anyone wants to see him play as a regular centre back. It's was just anyone but Efe in there for now.

I think it was asking a lot of Lustig this season. Especially given the number of games we've had to play this season and his injury history(double hip surgery a year or so ago). Asking him to provide the width for 90mins week in week out. For me he's more suited to a full-back role than a wing-back.

I do believe he's the best right back at the club and we should look to hold on to him for longer. I also wouldn't be adverse to having him play in the centre either.

He's still got plenty to offer and brings valuable experience with him.

Sorry to say this but he's done.....I'm one of his biggest fans and couldn't wait for him to prove his worth at full back a few years ago....but it's gone.

To put him in at CB is folly....he'll be up against guys with lots of pace and he has very little now....sorry to say it but he needs to get his coaching badges and perhaps help in that type defensive coach roll if he likes being at CP that much.... he was great for a long time and understood his wing back position very, very well....we need new blood in there I'm afraid.

Overall he's not a central defender for me. His legs are ridiculous for a position that requires concentration and meaty challenges to ground more often than not. He's also quite a good outlet and has one of our best crosses from open play, and score's his fair share also. That would instantly take that away if he was moved inside..

    He'll be back..

Players like Lustig and Mulgrew are perfect for a squad. There are so many to replace before these players.

Lustig should still be one of the 1st names on the team sheet for a big game. He needs managed though- he shouldnt be playing 90minutes every game week in week out. That is asking to much from him. I think ronny wore him out this season.
