Think we’ll be looking slightly better if we can add Starfelt and Furuhashi for this one. We’ll make it hard though.

what is the chances of new signings actually being decent who was our last signing / loan to be a 8/10 hit - Kenny duffy laxalt I feel for the new bhoys coming in.

hart and this new man city centre half on loan (in the Olympics atm), full backs and a new striker - endless task it is like the first season of championship manager 1998 - free signings would knock us back fs. how did we spin out of control so much

It is a bit of a worry that we are having to place so much hope on new signings.

I get that when looking to sign someone you should expect them to be able to make an instant impact, but we all know all too well how rare that can be.

Now more than ever we need pretty much 90% of every player we bring in to be of the right quality. We are * miles off it. Even if we sign another 6 players before close of the window, still miles off it.

We need to work on the fitness of the players. They weren't fit enough last season and they don't look fit enough this season.

Takes more than 4 weeks to be fair but they do look fitter

Dunno who was worse between them or Ferencvaros...

Seriously galling when you get put out by a team that poor.

We’ve became completely dysfunctional in these European qualifiers...we just cannot get a grip of them at all.

The players were GONE at Extra Time. Big Erik said as much in an interview, his teamates KNEW they were going to win, Celtic were out of puff.
Goalkeeper, left back, right-back, center back, holding midfielder, striker
    MINIMUM...And we need QUALITY!

Definitely, last season some players were struggling after 45-60 minutes in the middle of the season nevermind pre-season/qualifiers, expecting Ange to have them from that to peak levels for 90 and extra time this quickly is a bit much, it'll take time but we'll get there.

They were worse, for me. Ferencvaros went on to qualify fully and actually had a bit of pace and some danger to them.

With that defence we had out we'd have lost by more against them IMO. This is a Midjytlaand side who are also going through a transition and have lost or are about to lose 3 or 4 of their best players from last season ffs.

Never seen two slower and poorly conditioned players than Turnbull and Rogic. For me Turnbull should be dropped deeper with McGregor further forward doing the pressing. Do something different because it's not working, what he's being asked to do.

I'd even say, when Furuhashi comes in, Turnbull should be backup to McGregor and Christie as the two main forward-looking midfielders. I think they have a good relationship and understand each others game. Turnbull for me hasn't yet got first team consistency.

Agree with you about Ferencvaros were a better side no question. The only consolation to my mind about last nights result is that we don't have to play PSV now. Given how they destroyed Galatasaray I can only imagine what they would have done to our backline.

How surprising that a modern, progressive club with limited resources beats our dysfunctional, wasteful set-up for the 4th consecutive year.

It shouldn't be statues getting erected on the Celtic Way for our board, it should be Gallows.

It truly is astonishing how far we have fallen and how quickly. The level of this boards mismanagement and incompetence is mind boggling. Lets make no bones about it last night was this boards fault.

Beyond that looking at the game just as the game. Our backline well our fears were realized as with very little pressure and certainly no sustained period of pressure we gave up 2 goals and easily could have given up another. The midfield did fairly well and took control of the flow of the game for the most part but we lacked a real consistent threat in behind which allowed their backline to stay tight and keep everything in front of them. So as a result for all our possession we really did not create that many clear cut chances. Thought for good spells of the game our possession was very slow as well and did not stretch them. In the end we still had enough chances to win the game but really equally it was not a surprise we didn't. Just such a disappointment as as bad as we are right now that was still overall a tie we lost rather then they won.

turnbull being dropping to the middle of the pitch is a disaster - don't think he likes the tracking back, tackling, foot in part of the game - the problem yesterday all the players were looking for a hero, no one stepped up to the plate other than mc gregor with that strike. we failed to test their keeper the whole game (apart from one save in the first half - shocking).

as we learn each year in Europe limited chances in front of goal so being clinical is key
forrest ping it over the keeper 2-0 and game was over fs.

Was at work I didn't watch it but I was not surprised when I seen the result. I checked the line up pre match and had already given up once I had seen the back line.

Our coaching staff when you see it like that in front of you is as bad as it was last season. Just swap Lennon for Ange. The board are pathetic.

We are so badly run it’s unreal, Lennedy and Strachan. It’s almost comical.
