    Rennes would be very difficult to beat if they’re genuinely interested.

    However, Rodgers has spoken to him, so that’s really good progress. Think the guy that’s posted that is absolutely spot on with his transfer information, too.

    Probably willing to take 10 times as long to negotiate a fee and then try and pay him 10 times less than Rennes.

    Boss Rodgers is chasing several signing targets with the Hoops also understood to be keen on Belgian wide man Michel-Ange Balikwisha. The Celts face a fight to land the £6m rated attacker with the 23-year-old attracting attention from all across the continen

    Royal Antwerp gaffer Jonas De Roeck admitted he might struggle to keep hold of the attacker. He said: "It's not nice for a coach, but part of the game, in today's transfer system with a market that is open until early September.

    "If I have to take that into account now, then it is difficult to build something. It is human that some players could perform less due to uncertainty. But whether their future lies with Antwerp or elsewhere, I want to get those guys on board with my story, so that they are ready for when the matches with stakes come.”
