The family should be ashamed then......are they a respectful family...i dont think so?
Would the bullshit about something like this....maybe.

I dont know if he was a paedo or not,he was never proved guilty, and i think the fact the family took the money over a court case speaks volumes.

M Jackson was a brilliant musician with a * up head.

Maybe now that he is dead.......any chance of the family who took the money, telling the real story?

Why not get the kid involved to take a lie detector test.

the comparison i and i would assume most other people were making was that both were hounded and slated by a media and public who made a mockery of them. when both died their was a massive and in my mind hypocritical outpouring of grief over "the tragic death of a much loved star" by the very people who made their lives * while they were still alive. diana was the first and most extreme example but it seems to be becoming the norm these days.

Yeah were all beasts eh? :31:

Whats up with remembering the fact that Jackson was one weird * * who * about with the colour of his skin and who had to pay off a family to the tune of 20m to save his sorry * from facing paedophile charges. I've seen folk dun in and slashed for way less. And now everyones all sticking up for this freak

He's dead, so * I say. If I see funny * I would like to think this is the place to post it. It used to be like that in here, dunno so much now. :38:

Is this phrase the reason we differ in opinions on how to comment on someones death?

de mortuis nil nisi bonum dicendum est

Have any of you heard of this? Sums up to me why theres tension between members on the Jackson issue. Is it socially unacceptable to say anything negative about a deceased person? Seems like that in here........

The Latin phrase de mortuis nil nisi bonum dicendum est is usually shortened to de mortuis nil nisi bonum or sometimes just nil nisi bonum. It is variously translated as "No one can speak ill of the dead," "Of the dead, speak no evil," or, more literally, "Let nothing be said of the dead but what is good."

This expression is used in modern parlance with two nearly contradictory significances. In legal contexts, it refers to the common law principle that defaming a deceased person is not actionable. In colloquial contexts, it indicates that it is socially inappropriate to say anything negative about a (recently) deceased person.

The first recorded use of the phrase is by Diogenes Laërtius in Lives and Opinions of Eminent Philosophers, where he attributes it to Chilon of Sparta.

De mortuis nil nisi bonum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

the reason this thread was made was because it was decided that people who didn't want to gloss over anything negative shouldn't be allowed to comment on the original thread made about jackson. it was suggested that if people wanted to discuss the larger issues or make jokes then they should create a new thread to allow the original thread to be used for condolensces so i think its a bit over the top to start coming onto this thread telling people to * off because they refuse to mourn a celebrity of at least questionable moral standing. just my opinion

edit: for the record this time yesterday i thought he was a mentally * up paedophile and the fact he has since died will not change the opinion i held of him.

a single grown man who invited children to 'sleep overs' at his home for years and who's best friend in the world was a * chimpanzee will not be missed. Good riddence :bbpd:

The guy probably was a can short of a 6 pack but people need to look no further than at his upbringing for his emotional scars. His childhood was a nightmare and this most definitely warped his thinking.

I'm not a fan nor do I hate him but I do know a genius when I hear them and what he did was unrivalled and for the most part, wont ever be equalled.

Oh, What does Michael Jackson & a plastic bag got in common?

They are both made of plastic and both considered dangerous for young children to play with!

Read the story of Mchael Jackson's life and you'd maybe begin to understand why he invited kids to sleep overs.

When you were at the age when staying at friends houses, playing football in the street etc. was the norm, MJ had to go out on stage and perform in front of thousands for months/years on end. It was either this or get a * hiding from his father (something he was quite used to). He never got to enjoy the things all other kids were doing and took for granted.

I'm sure David Gest, Uri Geller, Liz Taylor and others would disagree with you about his best friend being a chimpanzee.
BTW Elvis Presley also had a pet chimpanzee, would you be as quick to question his mental state?

It amazes me how people who frankly know * all about Jackson's private life are so quick to judge, especially when any smidgen of information came from the mainstream media.
Some people here are guilty then of hypocrisy, if on the one hand they watch (and urge us to watch) films like Zeitgeist, Esoteric Agenda, Kymatica etc, (films that tell us all about how controlled and dishonest the mainstream media is), and then use that same, evil, corporate media information to make a charcater assassiantion on a man not long dead.

I bet some of the people criticising him often threatened to call the RSPCC on their parents when they got a N64 instead of a playstation :56:

    Well said Gil-Scott Heron.

Uri Geller states in an interview that he asked Michael Jackson while he had him under "Deep Hypnosis" "Did You touch the young boy" he replied "He never and would never do that"
Asked "Why did you pay the money to the family" he replied "Because he couldn't cope with the pressure/stress anymore"

That on top of the fact he was never found guilty of the offence IMO means the guy should be left to RIP.
