    You don't pay $22M if you don't have something to hide. I don't think the argument that he couldn't face the intrusion stands up. He's lived his life in front of the camera. As soon as the large part of the furore was over, he was back to his attention-seeking antics. If he loves kids so much, why the * did he dangle his child over some * railings? He would shower *-naked in front of other people's kids. He slept in the same bed with them, sans * supervision. He got away with paying off the first family and realising he was basically above the law, started firing kids into the house straight away again. He is not an innocent, robbed of his childhood. He's a 50 yr old man, granted his every wish and desire, due to talent and wealth, who could pay to make problems go away. It beggars belief that the CSS didn't take his kids off him. OH, no it doesn't; he wrote "Thriller".

    no-one i know is disputing the fact he was a total crackpot and as i said earlier he didnt get called wacko for * all but does that mean he was a kiddyfiddler?

    i know loads of crackpots but they're naw beasts (dont think so anyway, behind closed doors and all that * :icon_mrgreen:)

    I voted no because i havent seen anything to prove otherwise.

    What does it tell me that he paid $22m to that family.........that tells me he was not able to handle the court cases.
    It also tells me the family in question were not interested in the safety of their own child or any other chid,because if they were,and their lad was telling the truth they would have told Jackson to stick his $22m up his hole and they would see him in court and make sure he ends up in jail.

    Much was the price of a dollar back then $22m then was probably only about £10m or maybe less, to Michael Jackson that would have been nothing at the time. It's not like he gave all his money away, he was probably worth 100's of millions of $$$$ at that time

    But the real questions are

    Why did they let their kids stay there? Why did they bring the accusation up years later? Why did they drop the case for the money?

    No one is questioning Jacksons ability to throw such money about....i was asking how could any family accept a payoff over childrens safety.

    He was a * up individual who was not the norm. Without all his money he would have probably ended up in jail. People who act in the manner he did with kids wouldn't last in any of our communities would they? Because he was rich and made some music shouldn't make him an exception.

    no, hammer, i disagree, i thin k your mum has a very healthy relationship/obsession with children, you cannot compare your mothers relationship with children to a an * showering in front of minors, allowing them to view pornographic images in your presence, and having sleepovers with children, with said sleepovers involving giving minors alcohol and have them sleeping in your bed, peodophile or not, his actions were unhealthy and unacceptable. i dont think he ever intended to hurt anyone, and i truly believe that he believed what he did wasnt wrong, but if someone who has mental problems does wrong, it is still wrong. not knowing the difference between wrong and right, doesnt make your actions acceptable or excuse your behaviour

    I can remember an incident not too long ago surrounding a toddler that drowned at a public swimming pool. An eyewitness claimed he saw the child at the water's edge but was afraid to do anything in case he was set upon by a holier-than-thou mob fired up on paedophile paranoia.
