Was mascot for the Celtic Juventus 4-3 Champions League game in 2001, so had the privilege of meeting the whole Celtic squad from the night, aswell as a couple of the Juve players like Del Piero, Buffon, Trezeguet, Nedved. I have the team sheet from the night sitting right infront of me so if anyone's interested in the Celtic squad from the night just give me a shout. also met Billy McNeill and the late Ronnie Simpson pre-match in the lounge at Celtic Park. Unbelievable night!

Everyone seems to have had nothing but good encounters with BBJ. Haven't met him myself, but a few mates have, and they all say the same.

A total gentleman, really down to earth and the first to buy you a drink.

    Sounds a class act.

To be fair this is how they all should act, they are in a very privledged position and it's the fans who have given them the lifestyles they have, they should never forget this and should always make time for them.

Don't get me wrong if I was in there position I'd be * anything that walked but would never decline a chat or autograph or picture.

Ma family know the Mcstays through living in the same town- it's a very small place when theres few Celtic there. Anyway haha, when he was a kid he was playing football in the playground in school and ma mam passed the ball to him when he last it, or was coming to get it. Lol, he said thanks. Said he was top class in school at what 10 year old. :52::52:

A was on ma way out on holiday from Manchester Airport and i was really surprised that i forgot that Man Utd were playing away in Rome the following day, therefore they may be flying out. Anyway we were in this serviceairlounge thing getting our breakfast and that and ma mam turns and goes look Nick theres Ryan Giggs- a think she was joking as if it was a look-a-like. then i turned round and the man was staring right at me. A was like 'wow'. Then we were sitting right near Ronaldo, Solksjaer, Crerand and a couple of other Man utd fellas who were at the other end of the lounge to the rest of them- near the food. A got the feeling that Ronaldo (who actually kept himself to himself a lot) , while eating his croissant was looking at me as if to say 'do you know who i am' , same with Solksjaer, but to be honest they seem ok, footballing people. I think even though sometimes they are let of the leesh you can see how professional standards come about within man utd. I know they are bad losers sometimes but so what lol.

Whenever Celtic played Dunfermline away the stayed at Airth Castle, my old village
Seen Alan Thompson putting the lottery on in the shop :56:
Will always remember Larsson walking straight past me

At the last Old Firm game, i sat directly below Crosas, Caddis, Hooiveld and Naylor
All where happy to pose for a pic, Naylor is a top guy
Shouted up to Caddis "lets get into these DOB's," he gave me a wink and a thumbs up

Had a quality experience about 18 months ago. Had to fill a room in my flat so we leased it out to a French exchange student, soon after he moved in we went out for a boozing session and end up back at a mate of his coursemate's flat in the Strathclyde Uni halls of residence. Walked into the living room chatting away to some lad and then turned round to see Marc Crosas sitting on the couch having a beer! Had a wee chat with him before he boosted up the road, was a right shock seeing him there!

Used to work in a restaurant in Princes Square and saw Boruc, Lennon, Alan Thompson, Loovens, McManus, Robson and Hooiveld in there. Also a couple of Rangers players but no-one exciting!

As I left one night I walked past Aiden McGeady on his way to Karbon. Total sneering look on his face and his chest puffed right out, looked like a right fud.

when i was 11 my uncle took me and my cousins over to see celtic play fk teplice in the uefa cup, i think it was the 03/04 season.. anyway, he booked for us to stay in the hilton as he knew thats where the celtic team stayed before matches and we met the whole celtic squad, every player from larsson to douglas.. it was unreal, i was only 11 at the time and you can imagine what it was like for me, i was mesmerised by meeting all my idols.. but i can vividly remember martin o'neill coming out of the elevator and seen us all standing there with celtic tops on and he said 'cant stop now, have to get my hair cut', and my uncle said to him 'where from kilrea' (martin o'neills hometown which is were we are from aswell) and he stopped and talked to us for a good 15mins, got my picture and all taking with him, was amazing.. the top blokes where him, lennon, hartson and sutton but larsson, who i adored, was an ignorant whure..:56:

sorry for that being so long, if use dont believe me il post a picture of my signed celtic top(which still hangs in my bedroom) up here and the photo with martin..

Was in the players lounge years ago with my uncle who was well in with people at the stadium, met bobby petta who was playing pool at the time and he was a great guy. Jinky was there also and he was the funny man in there, john clarke was also a top bloke, showed me hundreds of football tops he's collected over the years, they were all over the walls in his office. Was gutted I hadnt met larsson, but when I was on the way out he was coming in and he shook my handand spoke for a couple minutes, absolute legend.

Also been to Jinkys house before with my uncle also and had a cup of tea and got a few things signed, it wasnt long after he was diagnosed and his wife couldnt have been nicer. One of the best experiences was when my uncle brought bertie auld up to my house were they spent an hour talking away and drinking tea, was great, could have listened to him all night long. My uncle also took me to Billy McNeills pub years ago and he is another absolute gentleman, could not say a bad word about him. Neil Lennon also came to our school and he handed out the winners medals to us from a football tournament, he was brilliant and was all smiles. The full school was singing "theres only one neil lennon".

On a side not I also met Chris McGuire out in coatbridge last week and he was talking to my mate who is also a footballer and he was singing "keanooo, keanoo" lol, hes a good laugh. Mark Kerr, Lee Miller, Derek Young and Charlie Mulgrew were also there a couple months back with McGuire, and big Lee Miller was dishing the drinks out to everyone lol.
