I would give him a chance. He was our John Terry. He played for the club he loves and Im sure he will come back and do a great job if Lenny stays in the job.

Maybe that is why Lenny to the game in at Newcastle. Maybe he was in Middlesbrough having a word with Mick and thought he would take the game in on the way home

Are you serious? You sound like someone from across the city. You do know that Celtic was created for immigrants. I dont think that is a very respectable way to talk about our foreign players.

Foreign players aren't immigrants, these players are playing for their home countries.
an Immigrant adopts another country, Me, I am an immigrant of canada.
Though, Scotland is number one in my heart.

wouldn't mind mick being back, he's been unlucky with injuries and constantly changing of defence have made it tough to be consistent, same go's with the captaincy, keep it away from her :50:

I always liked big McManus. Aye he had a BAD season last year but who didnt, plus he was * with injuries. Get the big man back next season for a bit of dig in defence.(thatl give us mick, loovens, hooiveld, rogne, thompson.o'dea and misun)

Mick was a good prospect before becomin captain some men aint fit/or are plain unable to cope with an armband maybe bringin him back aint a bad idea as long as he isnt re-instated as captain he's apparently been performing well for Boro and they want him permanently so the balls in his court sever his ties or man up and come back and try to recapture the form of 2 seasons ago

i would take him back,i dont feel he shouldve left in the 1st place .next season,hinkel/caddis,mcmanus/hooiveld/rogne/new signing, new signing(mulgrew/wallace mabye)/misun with boruc and zaluska would be a decennt enough defence in my mind

Just been reading this news story and judging by the quotes McManus might not want to come back... Wonder if he feels he's in a good bargaining position or something? Or maybe he reckons he's in with a tilt of playing in the EPL season after next...

id also just put in im sorry if i offended anybody with that comment, i can see how it can be interpreted, and again, i was refering to big jans statement about the scottish people playing for celtic, not that people like larsson should not have played for us simply because they were not scottish

Mc Manus should never had been made Celtic captain in the first place, he was barely established in the team as a player, but that's Gordon Strachan's judgement for you.

If he came back I would put him at left back and tell him it's that or nothing, I would also use Rogne at right back and perhaps Hooisveld and Ramis (if we get him this time around in the summer) in the middle. That gives you a pretty solid and physical back four, something we have not seen since Martin O'Neill beefed up our defence, remember how the Huns loved getting beaten up all time by Mjalby, Big Joos and Bobo, magic !!!

Who should have gotten the captains armband then?

He was the best option at the time, simple as.

I can't help but have a soft spot for him.

He had a rotten season last year but I really think he's a solid big defender that has the club at heart.

    I hope he returns.
