Maloney and McGeady haven't been at their best in the majority of games this season, and it's even more rare for them both to be on their game at the same time, therefore I don't see an issue with people calling for McGinn or McCourt to step in when the first choice options aren't meeting required standards.

We won't see what they are capable off over a run of games unless they are given a run of games to show us.

i think there well over rated mcginn is fast and can shoot .. but easy knocked off the ball .. maybe with a better team around him he would be better .. mccourt no doubht has skill and is good at seeing a pass but when celtic are not possesion ... hes just lazy and looks like hes walking his dog not giving a * .. isnt fit either and dont think he ever will be .. hes came on leaps and bounds from derry city but i think hes hit a brick wall now

Where was McGinn on Saturday? I’m sorry but TM should just let him go if he’s not going to play him! There was no excuse not to play him on Saturday, we were playing St Mirren at home for * sake! That is 2 weeks in a row he has played people out of position i.e Robson and Zheng Zhi instead of playing McGinn in his natural position! No one is going to tell me that a fit Maloney would have been benched in the last 2 games to allow Robson and Zheng Zhi to play on the wing! I don’t think TM can rate McGinn or McCourt for that matter as highly as the fans on here do otherwise he would play them, especially when Maloney is out! I personally think we have been crying out for a natural winger on each side the last few games i.e McGeady and McGinn given that McCourt is injured!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

McGeady played on the right and was outstanding so I can see why McGinn didn't get picked when it's McGeady he's trying to dislodge, McGeady on form is always going to get picked ahead of him so he just has to bide his time, I don't think it's that TM doesn't rate McGinn he just knows he's not as good as McGeady.

I'm glad TM played McGeady on the right as I think that's where he's best.

I would like to see McGeady on one side and McGinn on the other. I think they would cause a few problems .

I don’t understand why McGinn can’t play on the left though, surely he has got to be better there than Zheng Zhi or Robson who just aren’t wingers! McGeady is better on the right side than Maloney but Maloney is better on the left side than McGeady but both of them can play on either wing! If McGinn wants to get into the first team he is going to have to show a bit more versatility! <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

Im sure that is what a lot of us have wanted to see recently but it hasn’t happened! I have been disappointed with TM playing Robson and Zheng Zhi on the wings!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

I thought Zheng Zhi did fine on Saturday and as McGeady played really well on the right I can understand TM playing him there. At the start I was hoping to see McGinn on the right and McGeady on the left but I was wrong as McGeady is more effective on the right and it was corect for TM to play him there.

It's just unfortunate luck for McGinn that it's McGeady he's trying to replace in the team, as I'd rather have McGeady being effective on the right than less effective on the left.

Ye thats fair enough, id rather McGeady on the right too but surely McGinn would have been more effective than Zheng Zhi on the left who i thought done nothing! Not once did he attempt to get past the full back and i think McGinn would have done that!

I don't know if McGinn would have been any better on the left as I've never seen him play there, if TM saw how much of a disaster it was playing Robson out there and he knew that McGinn doesn't have a left foot either then it was the right decision, all depends on whether or not he can actually cross with his left, so I'll just take TM's judgement on this one.

I don't think it really makes a difference what side they play on. I think if your a decent winger you should be able to play on any side and most of the big teams switch their wingers during the game to try and make it harder for the opposition. McGinn should be able to play on the left and I don't think Mowbray isn't playing him because he's not good on the left, there must be another reason for it.

Maloney plays on the left and he doesn’t have much of a left foot and Nakamura played on the right for us without a right foot! I don’t really see both of them as wingers, they are more playmakers in my eyes (when on-form) and it would be interesting to see McGinn in a similar role cutting in onto his stronger foot! I think his with his pace alone it would be worth a shot! I hate seeing Celtic play with a Central player on the wing L<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
