I'd sell him, he cant cross a ball, cant shoot and judging by saturday cant trap a ball either. If Birmingham really want him lets offer them a swap for McFadden who is a fare superior player

Boruc, Hinkel, N'Guemo and Keane have all been better than "Aidinho" this season.

Even IF he is unplayable "on his day" are we just supposed to sit back for weeks on end watching McGeady give the ball away, cross the ball out the park and scuff shots past the post while we wait for him to have "one of his days"?

He's over-rated and if we get offered £8million we'd be off our * heads to turn it down.

    CONSISTENCY……
I'd rather have a player who was good 80% of the time,

than a player who's great 30% of the time & * the rest.

    McGeady, is that you:97:?

In all seriousness, if our best player is a winger who can't cross the ball - we're in worse trouble than I thought.

Teams have known for some time if you stop aiden you stop celtic and thats why a lot of the time he,s double teamed !! true he,s been very poor the last couple of months but he doesnt hide and imo is easily our biggest threat and has been for some time !! a little bit of quality alongside him and youd soon see the best of him again thats why players like maloney and kamara have been sorely missed !!

If he's always got two men on him then why doesn't he pass the f***in ball to a team-mate instead of trying to be Jimmy Johnstone?

The boy has ability but no game intelligence.

We have to face facts, we need a complete rebuild and sadly Mc Geady
has run his course at CP his credibility went way down after saturday
no matter what he can do or what he does not do.

he is not good enough and must be sold

Sooner or later he'll go mate and he will be a success somewhere else, where he wont get all the fake paddy * or get berated by his own fans.

He's not had a vintage season by any means and had a poor game on Saturday, but fingers should be pointed much more harshly elsewhere.

Heres a wee link that people might find interesting.

Aiden McGeady Profile, Statistics, News, Game Log - Celtic, Scottish Premier League - ESPN Soccernet

    29 games, 6 goals, 10 assists.

Not bad for a guy in a pish team that cant shoot, cross or pass.

Have a look at the rest of our midfielders, wingers and strikers stats.

    He'll probably leave this summer.

He has had good start of this season and I was willing to give him chance to prove he can do well. Sadly, whole squad deteriorated and he wasn't much far from the rest. But I think he showed his true colours this season. Arrogant wee * who has limited ability, yet can contribute a lot to the team. And we really need that contribution, but I don't think it would be disastrous if he left and us earning few million quids. That would leave us with options on transfer market.

If he goes to EPL or Champ, I don't think he'll be much of a success. He should work hard if he is to fulfill what's left from his huge potential.

Stats don't lie, I can't argue with that. But I also can't argue with Hinkel being our best assistant despite McGeady having more chances to assist and score. He's the best winger we have along with Maloney, but that doesn't actually mean he's a world beater, he just gets more chances.

I wish there were stats for incomplete passes, pointless runs, * shots and * crosses.

I honestly feel like he is like a man down, I kid you not, the sheer greedyness of the boy and lack of ability to lift his head when hes runnin is like having a man down.

    Aye pretty much this.

Do you all realise your picking on our best midfielder?

As I said concentrate on getting all BIGGER duds out before we concentrate on getting aiden out. Gose to show best midfielder means nadda if the fans don't like you.

Has anybody else noticed how his form has dropped off has co-incided with Skippy's absence and then subsequent departure. I don't think thats purely an accident, as the two of them had a decent understanding, and McGeady has not been able to develop anything similiar with any of the other options we have up front.

He has ability, that is not in dispute. However, his biggest shortcoming in my opinion is that he doesn't have a particularly good footballing brain. Because of which it takes him an extra second or two to decide what he wants to do with the ball. Often you can see what he is attempting, but the slight delay allows for opposing players to get their head or foot in the way or if our forwards begin to make a run in anticipation this delay can see them stray offside.

In football, a split second between the ears can make all the difference in the world.
