Second thing....and I highlighted the part I want to take you to task on. Explain to me please how McGeady is a "true Celtic man" because I've somehow missed that aspect of him. As for the "son of Donegal" part.....do me a favour please. That comment is beyond derision to be honest. So they fact he has family from Donegal automatically gives McGeady some unwritten right to pull on the hoops, constantly underperform yet escape censure or criticism?

Quiet assassin, Not at all just meant as a bit of banter, dont know about this forum as only new but other one i do be on, lot of Celtic/Scotland fans do get a tad hot and bothered about his declaration for ROI, hence the son of Donegal jibe.

Back to Mcgeadys playing ability, i am of the opinion the bhoy has the potential to be really good. His attitude/personality has been suspect i agree but like i said good guidence he will kick that attitude into touch. What i'd like to ask the Mcgeady bashers do you really believe he is a bad player? Have you never seen him run down the wing beat two and put in a peach of a cross? Do you ever think maybe he is still got age on his side and has got a bad period out of his system. Honestly, would you be sick if he went to epl and was playing out of his skin and became a revelation? :celt_2:

i cant understand the compla\ints about his attitude. even when he having a * game he always looks for the ball and doesnt hide. he tracks back and puts the work in. he does get frustrated a lot as does keane, but with the * they are playing with , very poor refs and shity pitches at almost every ground excet cp who can blame them

proved again today why we shouldnt sell him. he is a fantastic player.

he just needed better management. and we wouldnt buy anyone good because anyone near that standard would never touch the spl

His attitude stinks and I don't think hes this guy that bleeds green that we make him out to be (not at all suprised by the report of him mouthing back when getting off the coach) but he impressed today and we're are kidding ourselves if we think he can do any better ability wise, the SPL's attraction must be the worst is has been in years

At the end of the day though, id probably still take the money.

    Not that simple.

Go if he is a disruptive dressing room influence and as much of a wee * as he comes across. Also, if there is silly money on offer and we can use it to replace him and strengthen then consider it.

However, he is a quality (ish, by SPL standards) player and the pish he takes on here about no end product, etc is absolute garbage alot of the time. He is our most potent and dangerous creative figure, as today showed yet again. If he leaves with Keane, people wil realise how much he created and will regret their cries to sell him.

As I said, circumstantially dependant. Would like to see him saty as part of a team with a firmer attitude and backbone, think he would be an ideal player to add a bit of spark, pace and quality to an O'Neil-esque side.

he came up through the ranks of the celtic youth, nobody will take a giant wage cut to play on * pitches, deal with blatant refereeing bias and having to watch yourself in public or a hun will try to stab you

He is one of us , a die hard Celtic fan fulfilling his boyhood dream.

    So why not stay?

We must be the only fans in world football who want to sell our best player. Take him and Keane out of the team and there is no real threat. One of them is away in the summer and here we are talking about getting rid of the other. I hope he stays.

i voted for stay, but unless we get a good offer, then sell him, and i think he should stay for a few years yet, but maybe not be an automatic start every game.

dont get me wrong, mcgeady is a key player for us, but he needs competition, and although he is a key player, he can have some * awful performances.

Agree him and Keane are our only threats, yesterday's performace doesnt justify him staying or going but he was top class. That is the McGeady we know and love, it proves he is capable of putting in top class performances, just needs to do it on a more regular basis.

He should be hitting atleast twice that! Hinkel has more assists and Whittaker has twice as many goals from rb.
