Stay,,hes the only creative player we have,if hes so bad then it says a lot for the other imposters wearing our beloved hoops.I would rather see others leave before him.

Mcgeady has been at celtic for a number of years now what more can he do for us,he averages 5 or 6 goals a season, it would suit both parties if we got a half decent offer, you would think he himself would like a crack at the EPL !

This would be an totally crazy time to sell McGeady.

If someone was deliberately trying to run Celtic into the ground, and * us up as much as possible, then what they would do is sell McGeady now - at a time when we would get the absolute least money possible for him.

No offence to any particular poster, but I'm very glad some of us on this forum aren't running Celtic... :icon_mrgreen:

Go, providing it was mutually benifitial. if we sell him it has to be a 8 figure sum and I wouldn't want to see him go to a liverpool where he will warm a bench and not progress anymore.....

Stay unless we get offered silly money for him, Maloney is injured more than he's fit, McCourt can hardly last a game never mind a season so we don't have that many options on natural wingers and despite all his flaws who could we get that's better within our budget.

My first post in here don't want to be too controversial, but i have read through the posts and been on another forum a while about same thing, i really cant believe the majority of posters have such short and selective memories of Mcgeady. His ability is second to none in present squad, natural flair, skill and ability in abundance. I admit his attitude has been off the boil along with his game(still sum good ones mind) probably since strachan fallout, but under the right guidence he will be a great player, personally i hope its with us and not some mid table epl team. A true celtic man and a son of Donegal.

I have to say if it was up to me I would let him go but only for £8million or more.

I have a bit of a downer on McGeady at the moment to be honest. I've just grown so frustrated by his poor crossing and shooting that I'm finding him irritating to watch at times now. I don't enjoy giving the bhoy a slagging but I feel his form and his attitude at times leave him wide open to it. This is sort of how I felt about Samaras around a year ago and now he REALLY irritates me.

I think £8million for Aiden McGeady would be good business and I would take it if it was offered.

I'm no sure mate. I've seen that figure quoted a few times in the media though so I'm happy enough to go with it.

TBH I think the way they team has performed this season 8 million will be well over priced... Clubs are now going to be reluctant on what we have to offer after the recent RC result, the prices will have dropped a fair bit IMO.

I would get rid, he thinks he is bigger than the club.

Aiden's done what he can in Scottish football, teams are now clever enough to mark him out of the game, just think of thegame against division one Ross county. I think it would benefit both Celtic and Aiden if he moves on to further his career,Celtic get the cash, Aiden get's a much need fresh challenge.

First of all welcome to the board.

Second thing....and I highlighted the part I want to take you to task on. Explain to me please how McGeady is a "true Celtic man" because I've somehow missed that aspect of him. As for the "son of Donegal" part.....do me a favour please. That comment is beyond derision to be honest. So they fact he has family from Donegal automatically gives McGeady some unwritten right to pull on the hoops, constantly underperform yet escape censure or criticism?

No inconsistency for us while on the park. Yes he can dribble but the boy is no Jinky and the sooner he wises up to that fact the better. Teams know how to defend against McGeady. Box him into a corner and force him into a rash cross or simply allow him to pass to a defender as he usually does, job done.

Petulant and a gobshite on and off the park with a track record for gobbing off to his superiors. Guilty of buying into his own hype and thinking he's a far better player than he really is. He's no £8 million pound player and he's certainly not going to turn heads down south.

I'd sell him for what we can get for him. The attitude he displayed after the Ross County game showed exactly how highly he regards the people who pay his vastly inflated wages.
