    Instalments is fine.

We can fork out the £10million and it's guaranteed to come back in instalments, no problem there.

i know mate but he clearly is wrong, needlessly running the player down when it would be laughable to sell him at that price in todays market

I think it's absolutely clear the McGeady is regularly at least double marked. The problem is - he doesn't have the intelligence and he's too greedy to quickly play the sensible pass to someone unmarked. The second part of the problem is we have noone bursting from centre-mid to help him out.

He usually picks out Hinkel who surprise surprise got a huge amount of assists in the past few seasons and that's simply because McGeady draws at least 2 players.

i said the other night on this topic that we should sell him and with the money buy robbie keane and liam lawrence and then we would be a far better team. yes mcgeady is a good enuff player but could anybody tell me the last time he played well against a team in europe or against the scum. he is very inconsistant who never tracks back to help our left back out which in my opinion is why we have conceded so many goals in the last few seasons our tactics have been attack attack attack never mind the defence and thats what shafted us as tony mowbray used to do if all else fails take a few defenders off put on two attackers and get pumped from stmirren. i would rather have a player playing left mid who wasnt as effective going forword as mcgeady but was better defensively cos as everyone knows if u dont loose goals u dont loose games which is why rangers won the league. i hope mcgeady goes and we spend the money wisely because if we do then itl be a great piece of business.

I would rather we sell him and get a few good players in rather than keep him and only bring in a couple of players

If some team is stupid enough to offer £10M, then we should bite the hand off them. With this money we can buy some players with actual quality and maybe even the likes of Keane or Bellamy.

This seems to be a common thing in Russia and other clubs on the continent. Remember * Advocaat getting * off when Zenit purchased Rosina from Torino without his consent? Alot of these managers are really just coaches who work with the players and pick the team, but have no real influence on transfers and make do with the players they are given.

I like McGeady but if we sell him for £8-10m, plus the money we will get from selling fringe players, deadwood etc. we could be looking at a potential £15m to spend this summer.

Then it would seem Bellamy or Keane back in the hoops could be a real possibility :50:, along with strengthening other areas of the team...all from player sales and not the actual budget.

And with Maloney stepping into McGeady's boots (when fit), would seem like a great piece of business.

Agreed. But the truth of the matter is we are a selling club..so if we get an offer of 10 or more we almost have to sell.

These Russian clubs nearly always have one eye on selling players on to the EPL or La Liga.

We should tell them if they want the luxury of paying over a couple of years, then we want 25% of any sell-on fee.

NO chance Robbie Keane or Craig Bellamy will be playing with Celtic next year....
