    If Keegan was still there.. maybe.

    Now that Joe Kinnear is there? No chance.

    Newcastle had 17 managers turn them down before opting for Kinnear.. I doubt McGeady would want to go to that.

    Unless he see's him as a replacement for the retiring Giggs.

    He's going through a bad stint. His form will come back around again. If anything, his lack of performace was probably done to complacency. Adding a bit of competition for squad places will do him good. He now knows he is going to have to keep working as oppose to thinking he'll always have his place on the team.

    Yes, by a Nigerian consortium who have no money to spend.. they plan to make their money back by stripping the club of their assets, so they wont have money to buy McGeady.

    the lad is having a bad spell, how many times has he won us games. i think strachan is dropping him so he realises he is not a first starter but he will get back in the team and STAY there

    I cant believe we could even contemplate letting this guy go and it still stuns me that some people on here dont rate him.

    He must have had a really sore back last season from carrying us for long spells.

    A celtic fan with pace, strength, two good feet, ridiculous skill and the heart of a lion.

    Should be the first name on the team sheet and newcastle can turn their 7 millon sideways and ram it square up their *.

    McGeady to Newcastle LOL that is quality:56:

    Beyond that I just don't get it as soon as a good player like McGeady gets dropped to the bench for a few games you have poeple on saying sure sell him Maloney's better. Whether Maloney is better or not is neither here nor there. Fact is having both keeping the pressure on each other to perform well and giving cover is vital given the number of games we look to play over the course of a season. Having both Maloney and McGeady makes Celtic much better no matter which one is starting.
