just a small point here, Celtic is not just a club its a business, and every business has a HR department for there employees and basic running of the club IF it was just a stupid remark made by McGeady towards WGS do u think the board would support these disaplinary procedures when in fact they could face serious repercussons if they were wrong, nope i dont think so, something big has gone down here and this was the only way to deal with it

 

I have my opinion on this and posted a long winded post about it in the transfer rumours section about McGeady.

If we're too predictable now, think about how predictable we'll be when Naka and Aiden are gone.

One note, interesting that his agent denies anything being wrong and then this?.. he's surely not gone running to his agent about a move so this is all of the clubs decision on wether they will want to move him or not.

 

Well thats the reasons we have from all the 'sources' running the story, that he had too much to say after the Hearts match and its not the first time. Do you think that warrants a suspension? At least it was internal and what about McDonald's carry on last year and Naylor / Boruc and Lenny / McGeady trying to punch lumps out each other previously?

As I said, if the guy has done something else major, I will hold my hands up.

Fair enough but how much money do they get compared to celtic? I remember a stat sayinig celtics full transfer money spent was as much as hull bid for campbell.

 

If Naka and Aiden go rest assured we'll be taking in other tricky wingers and this does not include the new Irish guy.

Getting rid of the single biggest marketing device in football, the at the time best finisher in the world and arguably at the time the best centre-back in the world - doesn't matter what club you are money doesn't come into it.

That was all about respect and full credit to Ferguson for taking *. Reading the reports above saying McGeady was abusive towards Strachan then that is simply unacceptable.

They are both cocky little jumps lets face it.

No ones suggesting he shouldnt have been disciplined, I just feel its extreme and leaves us without a key player for our biggest game of the season.

 

aye correct, but how much off that will actually be spent on improving the team?? not very much imo. Celtic have been raking in loads the past few seasons and have spent nekt to nothing on the team only signing players like McCourt, Mcginn etc. now i dont know much about Mcginn but is this Mcgeadys replacement? to be perfectly honest i wouldnt be surprised.

I'm not taking sides yet but atm, considering our full squad, there is no way we can let him go yet, imagine if we let him go, the least every celtic fan would want is someone to replace him who is at the elast as good as him, if not better, we can't let him go.

 

If we're to believe what was printed in the Herald, story complete with an alleged player source, then if this is the result it's an absolute * disgrace. It sounds like McGeady has been made the scapegoat for the team's awful performance against Hearts which to be honest is nothing short of bullying by a man with a personal dislike for McGeady. (Ring any bells, Riordan anyone?). Fair play to the guy for sticking up for himself.

You look at some of the performances by Strachans * chum Gary Caldwell over the last 2 years there have been some of the the worst defensive performances by any Celtic centre-back i've ever seen. And yet Strachan always seemed to come out with some pish that Caldwell was excellent when clearly it's been a lot of *. And don't let the fact that Caldwell has been in great form recently put the blinkers on you, every single one of us has been baffled at some point by Stachans unjustified defense of certain players at some point.

I've been happy to give GS the credit he was due for the way he turned it around last season when we looked down and out, but now am back to where i was, can't * stand the * and i believe he is ruining our club.

If it were down to me to pick between GS and McGeady i'd pick McGeady any day of the week. Well done for sticking up for yourself wee man don't back down.

According to what was said on the radio he levelled personal insults at WGS and the boss walked away. Apparently a 2 match ban and fine is the most you can give a player so he must have been really bad. Switch on real radio some really important stuff coming out
