I don't know what to think about this tbh. For all we know Aiden could be a cheeky wee *, constantly undermining the staff, giving them back chat etc and the bust up on Sat was the straw the broke the camel's back.

Alternatively Strachan could have had a problem with his attitude from day one, and likes to take his post-match tantrums out on Mcgeady, treat him like * etc.

If 1. is the case, Mcgeady could grow up, realise hes not indispensible, not bigger than the club, knuckle down and listen to people who have been there, done that and have his best interests and development at heart. Or it will be toys out the pram and gone in Jan.

If 2. is the scenario, hes * either way, if GS takes a disliking to you, you're goosed, simple as.

I would suggest they're both as cheeky and stubborn as each other and a clash of personalities was inevitable, and lennoxtown isn't big enough for the both of them.

However, no player is bigger than the club no matter how Celtic daft hes percieved to be, if we sell him for good money, life goes on, all the best and all that.

I don't think the same fuss would be made if this was Boruc, which would be a similar situation, a player who has been previously outstanding but struggled this season and is taking the pish a bit with his attitude.

McGeady ain't untouchable, others will come and go, if hes * up the dressing room you have to look past his talent.

Suppose we'll find out sooner or later.

If he didn't ban Aiden, he'd have lost the dressing room which would be far worse than losing one player for two weeks.

This is Aiden's fault, not Gordon Strachan's. Your view on these issues are very narrow, you have to thing beyond the next match, that's what managers do and that's why GS made the correct decision.

    Good on ye Gord.

P.S. People need to realise Baldé is * now. An absolute liability in defense, he rightly gets nowhere near the reserve team.

Surely the dressing-room is the correct place to say it. It should stay in-house. Howevever, it was a matter of public record yesterday (niceone Lawell?Strachan) that these 2 would meet today and apublic statement would follow - as it did with the now nuclear fallout in more ways than one. As for the stealing annalogy: if my family starved i would steal out of necessity. My love for them would conquer all and stepping outside the normal boundaries for the greater good would not only be an option - it would be my duty! I think Aiden and i think alike.

he did'nt have 2 ban mc geady, u hear of other players all the time getting fined 4 breaches of discipline in clubs but u dont c the clubs banning the plaey 4 2 weeks when u have 1 odf the most important games against ur nearest rivals coming up..

i've said it b4 + i'll say it again- STRACHAN IS A MUPPET + I WOULD'NT LOSE 1 BIT OF SLEEP IF HE WAS GONE IN THE MORNING 3 IN A ROW R NOT...

    agree with that.

i think strachan's spat the dummy until i hear otherwise , its not asif the board would disagree with a decision he has concluded to also .

In-house aye, to Strachan on his own though, not in front of the rest of the team.

I can't believe you're blaming Lawwell/Strachan for this, IT'S AIDEN'S FAULT, HE CHOSE TO UNDERMINE THE MANAGER.

Aiden's thinking in that dressing room was retarded, so I wouldn't praise yourself on that last comment.

its a mans game ,should football players be afraid of being dropped or suspended for speaking their mind ?

we dont have the facts of this but it seems alot on here have agreed that mcgeady was out of order without proper facts

you have allready decided that mcgeady has undermined the manager with no facts to back it up

 When you verbally assault your boss, then yes you should be afraid of punishment.

If people go into work tomorrow and call their boss a * *, multiple times, what do you think will happen?

    The excuse of " it's a man's game " is ludicrous.

Oh, and nobody made me the " expert voice ".

Knew there was more to all this and theres more to come,,wgs' is being clever with his punishment to mcgeady,he thinks its a win win situation for himself..scenarios.

He beats the huns and is vindicated in his decision.

He loses against them and he had to ban aiden for disciplinary reasons.

    Very shrewd indeed.

I believe(only my opinion)that the club were looking for mcgeady to back down, make a statement to the media saying sorry this shouldnt have happened blah blah blah....

He said no so he was disciplined,,wgs orders the banning and a serious fck you to mcgeady.

I didnt think mcgeady would want to go and he clearly doesnt,,so they are pushing him out.

Send him out on long for 2nd half of the season and the whole of next season if need be,,till wgs fcks off.

According to what people think, mcgeady is going....id be devastated if this happened! :54: Although on the plus, we could bring in new players to try and replace him (which would be hard)!
Mcgeady getting suspended and Maloney now out for the old firm our midfield isnt going to be looking to hot!....especially if strachan is going to keep Caldwell there, just hope we rattle the goals in and sammy is back to full fitness!

He clearly * does. Why do you think his agent is stirring all this *?

Did you see Boruc's agent doing this when he was fined?

I don't know, every paper is reporting that he insulted him verbally several times.

Someone posted a while back that he called him a * *. that's unacceptable.
