There's a long reply to this mate, one that puts a good argument against what you're saying. But am watching the bhoys the now so will chat about it later if you're still up for it. UTR.

And unfortunately not enough time to get a replacement in! I.e Dembele so we need to wait till January for the midfield equivalent of Bayo.

Matt O’Riley loved seeing the White House – now he’s relishing the chance of meeting a power house in Manchester City, writes Michael Gannon in the USA.

The Celtic ace has been lapping up the American tour with the Hoops squad getting to visit some of Washington’s main sites before the 4-0 friendly win against MLS outfit DC United. The group has moved on to North Carolina – and now are on a collision course with the Premier League champions in Chapel Hill on Tuesday night. O’Riley said: “Washington was great fun as well as hard work on the pitch. The club has put on some really nice events, going to the baseball, the White House were really cool experiences

It’s also good for team bonding. I’ve really enjoyed it. It should be fun (facing Man City). It’s always good to play the top teams and they have arguably been the best team in the world in the last few years. We’re looking forward to the challenge.”

O’Riley was handed the captain’s armband against DC and he admitted it was a special occasion in front of thousands of Hoops fans. The in-demand playmaker said: “It was good fun. First and foremost, Callum McGregor will always be our captain. But at the same time, it’s always a proud honour to wear the armband at a club like this.

I was very happy. The pitch was really bad but we managed it really well. Everyone is looking really sharp. Considering it’s this early, it’s really positive

We feel good. Regardless of whether it’s preseason or not, every game is a must win for Celtic. We know the responsibility of playing for this club. It’s been nice to see such a good turnout. Even outside the hotel there’s loads of fans. It’s what Celtic is all about.

What did I say that was factually incorrect? Did we or did we not sell Dembele then say it was too late for a replacement? Then we we signed Bayo in January.

You obliviously have a different opinion which would be strange because as I said I'm stating facts. You may just be trolling again?

If you're going to quote me then at least say something that makes sense. I mean unless you can't in which case I'm sorry and maybe should be more patient given you're maybe a touch special.

If we haven’t got a replacement sorted late in the window and get a good offer I can’t see him leaving.

I think the fact he’s not pushing for a move and we have a good number of CL games in the first half of the season may mean him staying isn’t out of the picture.

Refreshing to see a player that knows what he’s got here even though he will move to a better standard at some point.

I think he'll stay. Based on nothing but my opinion.

The window doesn't close until Aug 30th so lots of time for a deal to be done. I'm a little surprised that there hasn't been a lot of interest from England but I still expect a Premier League to come in for him.

Don't see what there is to negotiate. They're nowhere near even that point.

Another Champions League group stage and I'm sure we could punt him in January for more than that.

Hopefully we're too busy to entertain this currently as we're about to bring in 5 quality players in the next fortnight.
