Really don't understand some international managers when they dismiss the standard of leagues.

They're * part time coaches with massive egos.

I remember similar was said about VVD, who was terrible until his first day in the EPL. Aye, sure enough.

The standard of league has nothing to do if the player is good enough or not tbh. If you rate them, you take them.

 

Plus he's played well in the champions league too this season. Playing for us never stopped Boyata getting selected for Belgium. Or stopped JJ reaching a WC semi final with Croatia. Some of these managers are just *

 

And he WAS pish

 

Think that's happening regardless mate.

 

Especially when you consider international teams still pick players playing in Saudi or equivalent where the leagues like walking football.

Plus see for the slagging of Scottish football, our league has ranked above the Danish league every season for the past number of years in the UEFA coefficients etc. Most leagues in Europe are a one or two team league. Serie A might be the only exception recently.

 

If we're gonna sell, then the wise move would be to sell in January after the champions league..that way it suits both parties.

Embarassing for the Danish manager. Practically an admission that he can't spot a player.

 

You'd think managers, specially international managers, would possess a sense of professionalism and respect in their bodies.

Fair enough if you're a stubborn, narrow-minded, uneducated * and don't see pass the riches of the EPL, make the same mistake the English make year on year with team selections, but at least pretend to be respectful and don't belittle other leagues and nations.

I'd get it with a club manager to a smaller extent. But for me and international manager is representing a country on a global scale. * off and have some respect.

The leagues not great, but it's far from * and we clearly do produce decent talent and develop other nations talents.

Or do we just forget about the host of internationals we have even just at our club over the years?

Did O’Riley play a competitive game for them yet or just a friendly. Be gas if hr declared for someone else now and got called up

 

He has played qualifiers for them

 

2 caps, one friendly and one Euro Qualifier, so they know what they're doing.

 

Harsh on Matt if he wasn’t picked but worse for Denmark not having a player of his quality available.

 

Ironically, he played against the North when the Denmark manager overseen his team getting pumped from players from Plymouth, Wycombe, Bolton, Millwall, Watford, Sunderland, Oxford Middlesbrough and Southampton.

 

He shouldn't be choosing any players from the Danish Superliga then if he thinks the Scottish Premiership isn't sufficient quality. Biggest club is Copenhagen who have a stadium half the size of Celtic Park - much bigger matches & higher pressure here. Not to mention his CL MOTM awards at the highest level.

Our league is better currently & historically - no Danish side has ever reached a European final.

 

Not in the squad for the Euros.

Hope Denmark get battered and the manager gets the boot. Their fans are fuming.

Not taken O'Riley who played in CL and was wanted by Atletico but he's taking * from the Danish and Belgian leagues. Wonder if he'd be picked if he had a Danish sounding name.
