He's been a great player overall in his time here, but the last 4-5 games he has been rotten.

If Matt O’Riley has ‘downed tools’ or ‘chucked it’ as some are suggesting then is anyone going to call him out for being a COMPLETE AND UTTER *? If he really has thrown in the towel when Celtic are in the midst of a Title battle and desperately need him to perform then sorry but you can forget all his good performances up until now, that is * unforgivable.

Personally I don’t believe he has just downed tools or chucked it. There is something rotten at Celtic Park at the moment, stemming from the board through to the manager and it’s affecting the players. Calumn McGregor was playing like a Pub player at times yesterday in the second half, nobodies gong to tell me he has ‘chucked it’. All the players have been affected, O’Reilly is no different.

He’s not thrown in the towel, clearly. He just appears on the face of it to be a deep thinker and the Atletico links have knocked him off kilter.

He’s not been * he’s just not imposing himself on games as he has been all season because this season in general overall he’s been absolute gravy. A total baller. We need that guy back and all it should take is a chat from the manager.

I'm hoping he rediscovers his form soon. That free kick did confuse me though. If you're going to hit it under the wall, surely you hit it directly, instead of shifting it?

You can see he’s physically trying but it’s just not there for him, he’s absolutely miles off the player from the first half of the season just now right when we can’t afford any passengers.

Tricky one to solve, hopefully he just plays his way back into form.

I don’t believe he’s chucked it, he’s just a young player that’s going to blow a bit hot and cold at points through the season.

Difference was last season we had the experience of Mooy to rotate him out when he was going through bad patches … Let’s hope Bernardo/Iwata can step up from now until the end of the season.

I’d persist with him. He deserves a bit of good faith and I believe he will come good again

Actually thought he was good in the 2nd half, but there's no doubt he isn't reaching the desired levels at the moment.

Operation upset our best player with Madrid rumours really done a number on him. Needs to get back onto his game or the only Madrid he's signing for is racing Madrid City.

He makes Olivier Ntcham look like a happy go lucky laugh a minute.

Fed up looking at his sulking face. Doing absolutely nothing to justify his place in the team

Looks half hearted when he's playing an doesn't try to run into spaces for players to make a pass to him, and he better not be involved in any further free kicks as he's rotten.

Thought he came onto a game as the 2nd half went on. He absolutely needs dropped though, maybe fatigued but give Bernardo a start ahead of him midweek.

Think he needs dropped to give him a wake-up call.

Needs to stop going through the motions and start making his mark on games again. Deserves dropped on recent form.

Yeah I’d agree with that tbh, wouldn’t mind if we replaced him with bernardo as they’re like for like and stick with Iwata cdm and cal further up. I do think O’Riley played well last 20 but not good enough

Head turned by Athletico bid, happens so often to players when they see a move come and go.
Here's hoping he can get back to normal MoR form quick.. .

So according to Danish media the board where going to approve the sale of Matt in January if they would have gotten the £25m out of Athletico what a shitshow from them. This isn't the daily scottish rags reporting this, why in the * would you say aye OK we will sell (while in a title race) then come out and say a few weeks later oh we share your frustration at not being able to add.

Something at boardroom level needs done. Place needs gutted!

    Back with a bang

    1 goal
    2 assists
    smashed the bar
    so far

Unreal the freedom that Iwata gives him.
