He got an injury that will keep him out for the rest of the season. With about 6-8 games to go. His manager was asked at the time if it was likely to be his last game for the club and where he didn’t say definitely he wasn’t confident that it wouldn’t have been.

I tend not to watch player clips until they sign but just watched a bit of him there and not overly impressed..

For the fee being touted I’d want a game changer type, he just looks like a slower slightly better technically version of Daizen.

I've watched him quite a bit over the last season or so and he's definitely someone we should be keeping a close eye on. I think there are better alternatives out there for the sort of fee they would be looking for, I seen £8m was mentioned, but he's a very decent player.

Aye seems a bit expensive. If it's between him and idah idah it is.
Suppose this lad plays on the wing too

He'd be ideal as that versatile, third option up top but never happening at 7 mill..

I dont think it should be underestimated how good a player Maeda would be, if he had better technical quality.

Kvistgaarden is very athletic and it looks like he is a ball carrier which we dont really have in the side. To have a player who can take the ball in our own half and beat men and get us up the pitch is a huge asset. See Frimpong in the cup final vs Rangers. Jota also could do that and we havent really replaced that. Yang can beat men with his dribbling but has shown his end product leaves a lot to be desired.

If ye had to merge Maeda’s best qualities with Paddy McCourt’s it’s a Balon d’Or.

2 decent to * players that. But actually no doubt that hypothetical impossible shout would be a Balon d’Or contender. Now Messi and Ronaldos * off

Brondby have reportedly slapped a massive price tag on Mathias Kvistgaarden this summer amid Celtic 's long-standing interest in the frontman.

The Danish striker has been subject to firm Parkhead interest throughout the last two transfer windows with an offer worth more than £4m reportedly knocked back 12 months ago. The 22-year-old has publicly stated that he did not hold any talks with the Scottish Premiership champions - but refused to close the door on a potential move. But with Brondby heading for the Europa Conference League after missing out on the Danish title last term the club appear determined to keep the key man at the club.

RB Salzburg have reportedly shown an interest in Kvistgaarden, with Austrian outlet VICTAURI claiming that scouts have been sent to watch the forward throughout the last campaign. However, the asking price is said to have put the side off a potential deal at this stage - with €10million (£8.5million) demanded to sign the star. (Record)

Would love to get this boy in still, along with Idah. If it takes 15-20 million just get it done.

Wishful thinking I admit, not looking good on either front at this stage. Pish.

It's a rarity that I would agree with Celtics money men, but nah. No chance. He's nowhere near the sort of figures being thrown around.

Our last bid was a "fair" one, in the sense that we offered a number higher than his actual worth to get it done.

Time to walk away from this one. There's far better out there for cheaper.

Yeah much like the idah deal, if that's the figure needing spent on him, then I feel we can get better for less.

It's all dependent on our scouts doing their job though

I'd prefer we spent the money on Idah.

Still should be keeping an eye on him, definitely. He’s got some very good attributes and I’d like to see him play with a team like us who completely dominate the ball and create a plethora of chances.

£8m is steep and I’m still undecided on whether or not we should pay that. Especially as if it will ultimately come out of our budget and that will be limited, as we all know.
